I bought this solar panel based on the description clearly stating that it has "multiple DC outputs including USB & USB C" - it has NEITHER. I bought this to charge a 30W USB C devise, shame on you Nature power for misleading and over rating your product.As for build quality it seems decent, unfortunately there is no sun in my forecast for the next few days to test the efficiency of the panel. I own 3 Nature power 100w glass panels, they really need to ditch the SAE connections and go with the industry standard MC4 connections. I replaced all the SAE's with MC4 connectors on my panels. There isn't a reputable "solar generator/solar power station" on the market that has a SAE connection, so you will have to buy a SAE to MC4 adapter. At least it comes with a SAE to Anderson PP cable.

Very nice folding panel, must have in the beach! Really simple DIY can have it working with phones and laptops.

This item was purchased based on “Includes 12ft wire, 10 adapter plugs for use with various laptops”, as stated in the product description. No laptop adapter plugs were in the package. A question regarding this omission was deleted rather than answered. It’s described as: “Powerful enough to charge laptops”, but without the adapter plugs this too is false. How about an explanation?

Outstanding product. I added it to my array at my of grid site and even with overcast skies, I was still charging my little battery rack. It was so good, this was the second one I purchased.

Home Depot's rubber-stamp of approval was right-on. I'm glad I purchased this rather than the 2.5x more expensive goal-zero brand. At 40 watts and 2 amps of output, I'm very impressed. It charges my 20000 maH battery bank and cell phone like a standard wall outlet. My makeshift charge controller is the Harbor Freight's $7.99 Armstrong 5v 2.4amp USB car charging port, which protects between 12v-24v (watch a YouTube video to see how to connect the solar clamps to the USB car charging port - EASY).

Just received my 40 watt portable Folding Solar Panel from Nature Power and I have got to say Good Job Guys.... I caught a discount sale on mine and thought the price was great. Quality of the panel and the jacket is excellent. Probably the greatest surprise for me was all the cables that came with the unit. I use both SAE and Anderson Powerpoles so I was pleased. I have tested it already and it works great. Truly, this unit checks all the boxes for me and I am going to enjoy my portable mountain topping amateur radio excursions with this unit to charge my homemade LiFePo4 power station. If your looking for a foldable solar panel below 50 watts, I think this value is hard to beat. And you won't be disappointed..... W5NM

On paper, this looked like the best value in a foldable, durable panel with a good capacity for charging 17 AH Lead-Acid batteries. When it arrived, I was impressed with the heavy weight nylon outer skin and durable construction. The connecting cable and adapters are convenient length. I use Anderson PowerPoles on all my batteries, so I easily replaced the battery clamps on the short adapter pigtail with the PowerPoles. This one easy to carry panel gives me almost as many watts as the three heavy, glass and aluminum frame panels I have been using. One of those panels fell and shattered, but this foldable panel seems to be non-breakable. Unlike this one, other panels I looked at seemed to be averse to rain, and I know it is very likely this will get caught in a downpour at some point. This requires a charge controller, so it is a little silly to have the battery clamp pigtail. All in all, it is well-made, nice wattage, not too big, not too heavy and is easily transportable without fear of breakage. This is my first NaturePower product, but I will definitely be looking at others. I'm pleased and impressed.

I have had this solar panel for a week or so and haven't had a chance to use it yet. I have tested it in the sun and found that I was getting 17.5 volts DC (no load), and that is what it is suppose to be according to the manual. I can't wait to put it to use and see in reality how well it performs. Stay tuned, I will revisit this review in the future.

Grommets on top of unit not same as previous unit purchased from same manufacturer. Different panel structure also. Works just as well, very efficient collects energy in closed greenhouse. Battery clamps also different from previous purchased unit but are sufficient for optimal use.
