Own a small electrical contracting company. Perfect for threading rigid conduit and cutting strut. After years of using the old style chain vices where you kick the bottom with your foot, get a blood blister with your hand and fight to get the keep chain around all 3 legs. This has been a long time coming.

These are nice when they have the long chain on them just wish they collapsed flat to maximize gang box storage

Must have. Started with a company that didn't have one and I demanded that they buy me a Ridgid tristand vice. It makes my job so much easier and so much faster!

Fantastic little stand for electricians! I mainly need it for nipples and shorter pieces of 1/2" rigid conduit, so the smaller diameter range didn't bother me. I preferred the smaller size for portability. The carrying handle and locking mechanism work well at taking away the awkward nature of tri-stands and this unit folds up quickly and locks closed. At around 45 lbs, it doesn't try to break you while you move it. The unit is built well. The chain vice operates smoothly and grips the daylight out of the pipe with minimal slippage during threading. It has a nice wide footprint that makes it very stable for its size. The only downside is limited storage on the vice head itself for tools like bandsaw hangers and files. That's the trade off for having a smaller chain vice that can store easily in your truck or van though. You can still hang your bandsaw from the bracing and I was still able to keep an aerosol can of threading oil on the base without constantly knocking it off. It's an expensive stand, but you'll reassured the instant you pick it up that you bought a high quality product!

Great product, assisting with precision pipe and rod cutting. I was told by my plumbing teachers that I didn’t need one for apprenticeship work, in which case, the purchase of this product was a mistake.

Love my RIDGID 450 tri stand, durable, good options, easy to use.

Bought awhile ago for oil tank installs. Very durable.the unit stays put. The only issue I hav e noticed is the chain in the vice occasionally sticks.

As a retired union pipefitter having used Rigid Tristand vises for many years, I can honestly say there is a reason these are on every union job. They are sturdy, extremely long lasting and a fabricators best friend. You either have one or you need one. I just had to have one for my own personal use. Don't settle for anything but a Rigid, they're the best!!!

I got it a month ago, I have used them before, but I needed it for some recent gas pipe jobs. Now I know why only big companies have these. The price. Well worth it though.

Ridgid products are great quality and easy to use. This pipe stand works perfectly for threading/assembling pipe. It's easy to move around and simple to use. I'd recommend this product for anyone threading and/or assembling pipe.

Fantastic for cutting threaded rod, Unistrut and two inch rigid pipe. Very happy with it. The smaller top plate means it takes up less space in the back of the truck

The slice handle on the middle post is the greatest improvement from the old style pipe vise.

We use this all the time for all sorts of stuff in addition to cutting and threading. I would not be able to get by without it. Totally heavy duty and we abuse it every day.

This is a great portable stand to setup and move job to job as needed. If your in construction and thread pipe you probably already own one.

The tristand is an essential. Very sturdy product and lasts a lifetime!
