Milwaukee Cobalt bits above 1/4" in are junk
I only own Milwaukee cobalt drill bits because I found they are the best to drill in 1/4 and 3/8 mild steel fast and multiple holes. However, the 3/8 bits and larger that have a pilot point loose their drilling ability just after 1.5 holes. I bought 2 new ones from HD and was able to drill 1.5 holes with each bit before they stopped drilling. I was using cutting oil and a Makita 18v drill. Unfortunately pilot point bits cannot be sharpened and fortunately HD took them back

Defective, second bit purchased from Homedepot
It seems that every Milwaukee bit I have purchased from Home Depot is defective. I purchased the 5/16 metal bit about two months ago and finally found the time to drill holes in 14 gauge sheet metal and all I could get done were 8 holes, that's even using the bit with tap magic. Absolutely terrible.

Awesome strong bit to do a crank pin.
I needed a very strong bit to drill a Hellcat engine driveshaft and a balancer/pulley. With a special tool to keep the drill from moving away and enough oil to lubricate and keep temps cool, I was able to drill it within minutes

      Broke the day after buying
After only a few uses the bit snapped off in the extension. I was drilling wood so the material wasn't particularly tough. I buy a lot of Milwaukee stuff and it's generally quite good but this bit let me down.

When drilling on the first metal strip to make a hole was easy but on second and third holes were not easy. It is for the sunscreen shade to hold.

          Great bits
These Milwaukee impact bits are my second favorite bits after the Milwaukee cobalt bits. I keep at least two full sets of each at all times. They’ll chew through 1/2” steel all day long. The cobalts cut faster, but I like the quick connect feature for the impact on these.

          1drill bit; so many holes!
I bought several of these bits, to drill into 1/4” angle iron to install a trailer bed. Based on cheaper brands, I thought I’d need a bunch of them to do the job. I used the 17/64ths bit. The first bit just broke off at hole number 60. Incredible quality to keep making hole after hole. After slogging through using cheapie bits, this is a pleasant relief. Totally worth the money. If you are using a 5/16th self tapping screw the 17/64th bit makes an excellent pilot hole. I’m sold on Milwaukee!

              CORRECTION
I would like to take back my negative review for 7/64 Milwaukee Cobalt bit . The hole I was trying to drill was at the angle and at a difficult location. The drill bit is excellent. I never seen a bit flex so much and not break. P.S. HD, fix the picture and a title for the review pop up. It does not match the link!

Cannot drill through a piece of steel < 1/32' thick with a power drill. I gave up. Going to return this bit back to HD.

                  works good
I used this bit to drill through some small mending plates and it worked with no issues. I just started with smaller bits and worked my way up to this one. The tip of the bit is nice and bites into material good without slipping. The only dislike is that it is kind of expensive and I wish it could be included in the other cobalt milwaukee drill bit kit that I have. I have had this bit for about a week now and it does meet my expectations. Please hit thumbs up if this was helpful

I like that this bit is meant for hard metal. This is a very sharp bit and does a good job of cutting. The downside that I've noticed is that the cutting edge of the bit easily chips. It's disappointing, considering how much it costs, for the edge to chip and break. If it doesn't chip it does a great job of cutting.

good drill bit but too short!
Good drill bit. I see paint scaper blade get shorter on lenght, now drill bot get much shorter too. I check the old milwaukee drill bit that I have to these new ones, they longer than these new ones 1/2-5/8 inch long. Not much, but it became useless when I use them to pilot drill my carbinet screws! Please, make the drill bit longer like it use to be, we pay for these extra lenght. Cut corner to make some $$

I bought the bit because I needed to drill out a broken bolt on my exhaust system. I tried to start with a 1/8 inch then enlarge to 1/4, then 3/8 inch. The 1/8 nor the 1/4 would not even start to drill, a complete waste of money. I had even ground off the head so was only drilling the shank

I needed a 3/8" drill bit to complete a landscape border project. The heavy plastic brick border has holes that only are opened so far and need a drill bit to enlarge the hole to hammer in the stake to secure the 4" border piece. I found my Dad's drill over 60 years old, it worked perfectly, however, I was missing a 3/8" drill bit. I went with the advise of a Home Depot employee who helped me select the best drill bit for my project. Cost was perfect and my drill bit helped me finish my perfect landscape border. I highly recommend this brand if you are looking to find a quality drill bit!

Expensive, but a good bit. I drilled 10 holes through 3/8" steel plate before the first bit seemed to be getting dull. I bought the second bit and it broke on the 1st try, so the original bit was used to finish all 18 holes. The photo was after 18 holes were finished.

The holes these bits were producing in 1/8 mild steel were out of round almost triangle in shape and the edge finish in the holes was terrible. Being the most expensive 1/2 bit in the store I would expect much better performance. I was drilling on a drill press and it was a night and day difference between the Milwaukee and dewalt. I will never buy these bits again. In the image hole with dewalt bits on left. Brand new Milwaukee on right.

Excellent drill bit. It is perfect fit for the 5mm size I was looking for, to use with my hobby projects. I customize Transformer toys, and I drill holes for extra appendages like wings / small weapons, or deepen existing holes. I bought a Ryobi Corded Driver from a local Home Depot a few months ago, and this Shockwave 13/64in. drill bit is the exact size I was looking for, as shown in my two pics. Highly recommended item, strong and durable with titanium coating.
