Love these pants
I purchased two pair in 2011. Liked them so much I bought four pair in 2012. The other day I looked at my pile of denim blue jeans and laughed - they just can't measure up to the comfort and practical wearability of the Riggs Work Wear. I am going to buy another four pair soon.

They made the phone Pocket smaller. I don't like that I've had these pants since 2006. The leg pocket was perfect for today's smartphones. But this recent version. The sowing makes the opening to small. I cut away the threads to open it up. That was disappointing. The rest is great

    Heavy weight jeans
Roofing for 40 years these are the best jeans by far, they run a tad on the small order, next order will be one waist size larger, other than that they wear well, took some getting used to the right hand hammer holder and the left hand side pocket, love the leather tape holder.

      All I wear for work.
Keep cool in the summer,. Roomy enough for thermals in the winter. Not sure if I will ever buy jeans again. Love these pants.

      quite well
Very nice jeans, but I had a small growth 29 to take, but it's the little things, why then couldn't find a thin summer jeans, and in General, everything is fine.

Been buying this pant for years - LOVE THEM!
Absolutely love these carpenter pants. Material is durable, yet breathes well. Perfect set of pockets and loops to hold my cell phone, tape measure, and hammer. Fit allows for easy movement and flexibility. I keep buying these things - it is literally what I wear 6 out of 7 days a week. Highly recommend.

            Best Utilitarian Pantalones Ever!
These and the Ranger pants rule! A 5.5" screen phone fits perfect in the side pocket. They are loose enough to do karate in, strong, and I wear them to work as a software engineer and they look great with a nice sweater for meetings and whatnot. I have three pairs and am here looking for black, but that color isn't sold here!? :( I would wear only these and Ranger-style for the rest of my life.

              What about southpaws?
I love all of my Wrangler jeans and really looked forward to buying a few pairs of these, primarily for the leather pocket protector since this is where most of my jeans tear up first. Once l paid attention i realized that these are made only for right handers. I keep my knives and tape measures in my left pocket so the feature that i was so excited about is completely useless to me. Will Wrangler ever offer a lefty version? Such a small detail turned me off on these.

                Ended up buying at store
These are great pants for work, well constructed, and heavier denim than most. Kind of a pet peave, but they are left handed. Have hammer loop on right side vs. the left like everyone else. It takes a little getting used to, constantly looking for the pocket, and pencil on the right side. (I almost never use the hammer loop). I had to return the pair I ordered, as they were too tight. They are cut a little slimmer than the Dickies and Schmidt's I usually wear. I went to a local retailer and bought the next size up...perfect. I also picked up a pair of the ripstop ones. Nice

                  Left Leg Pocket Dimensions
This photo shows the Left Leg Pocket, and dimensions. If you allow for the fact that anything you put in it will NOT be perfectly thin or flat, you have a pocket of about 3 x 5 inches. An iPhone 6s Plus will NOT fit in this pocket.

                    Comfortable, Durable and Good Looking
These have a nice, loose - but not sloppy - fit; if you measure your waist accurately. The fabric is as tough as denim, but not as thick & heavy. (If you get 'em wet they dry faster too.) The cut and finish on these make them the perfect choice when you have to meet a customer or go to the bank. You look like the foreman, not a grunt. ;^)

Only jeans I've worn for over 12 years
Bar none, the best jeans you will ever wear. I wear for work, casual, and any situation. Cost 50% more than "cheap" jeans and last 3 times as long literally. This jean fits and wears like no other!

I would purchase these pants again
I like the workmanship of the pants and the quality material they are made from. They fit a little tight on me but maybe after washing and wearing them they will feel better.

The only Jean that I wear
Excellent Jean. Since I wear cowboy boots I order these in a 34 length and get them hemmed. Next I have the hammer loop removed. The side pocket on the left is perfect for my cell phone and the leather pocket protector on the right front pocket is perfect for me to clip my pocket knife. I really like the extra deep front pockets! Overall quality is excellent! I worry about Wrangler discontinuing these so I keep at least a 10 year supply of new pairs of these in storage!

                          What happened?
So Wrangler changed my 'Go to work pants'. The old version had the belt loops in the perfect spot to keep my holstered tool where I need them. Now two back loops are removed! My tools slide around to my back where they get very uncomfortable in the truck seat and on equipment. With the two loops missing the pants hang like a potato sack on my belt. The fabric seems to be lighter weight. These pants seemed to shrink much more than the last ten pair I have worn (Ranger and Carpenter Riggs). The side pocket I keep my phone is is slightly smaller, especially after washing, to the point my phone will not fit all the way in the pocket. I requested an email inquiry from Wangler when I bought the last two pair of Riggs Carpenter pants, no reply. Last pairs I guess, I'll have to spend a little more on some Duluth Trading carpenters that fit great, last longer and have the right size pockets. Too bad Wangler, It was a good run but quality and function is everything.....

These are officially the only jeans I will now buy. I
I have been wearing these jeans for a couple of years. They are perfect for the working man. I use the side pocket for my cell phone. They are a loose fit so you can move in them and if you conceal carry, the pockets are nice and deep and no one will know that you are carrying. I have got both of my adult sons hooked on them. Bought them both a couple pairs for Christmas and they are also hooked. These are a fantastic jean!!!

                              Extremly Baggy
Waist fits great. Length runs long. I was not aware they were "relaxed fit". I saw the Room2Move was the design but I wasn't expecting the extremely baggy pant. Not useable to me at all as I have no desire to look like a clown.

                                Sizes are not consistent
Have been buying this style of pants for ten years now. Never had any problems until now. Have been buying the same size for the same amount of time as well. Just ordered new pants for the year and gotbthe same size I always get and they are way to tight now. Makes no sense to me unless wrangler decided to have another foreign country start making them and there sizes are different then US sizes. So now I have to mail back at my expense and order bigger ones and wait once again for new ones

                                Poor value for price
The crotch area was worn thru in six to eight months on two pair of Carpenter Relaxed Fit Riggs Workwear Jeans. I would classify the use as moderate. I have had $20 workjeans last two or years under severe use. These were over $30 and did not even last one year. I like the color and the pockets. But, in my opinion these pants are way overpriced for the value.

                                  Great Product
Quality was never in question. The Riggs name has come to stand for durability and comfort. The issue is findong them. Online order was fast, simple and shipped quick. It was nice to not have to go from store to store and never find my size.

                                    Side/Utility Pocket has shrunk
Great pants - a bit tight but made me realize I needed to drop a few pounds! The utility pocket has shrunk and I can't get my cell into it also moved to the left. The overlay pocket has been removed. The Bark color is really a light olive green not brown at all. But still a great color. Heavy weight material, a bit stiff but comfy since I dropped 6 pounds. Love the leather accent and the cordura back pockets really dress them up.

Did not hold up for one small job
I had to lay a new vinyl floor 11' X 13' in a basement over concrete, so I was on my knees for a bit. To my surprise when I finished there was a large hole in the left knee, and I was upset about it. These pants were only worn about 3 times because they were so big and loose. I purchased these because I had 2 pair that lasted me almost 5 years. They really must have cheapened the material. They are not worth the money that they command for these.
