Slippery when wet
I installed this style unit bc of its easy access in and out with a low edge thinking if older parents come out to visit it would be very safe. It has a textured bottom but the finish just glosses over it and it has zero grip to stand on. Everyone who has showered in it has slipped and caught themselves. It’s very dangerous. Everything else about the unit is five stars, but this.

Purchased this for a re-model. The listed size is misleading. 48" is exactly the size had between the studs however the actual unit size is 48-3/8". Had to notch away the studs to get it to fit. Other than that I’m pleased with the quality and overall construction of the unit.

Kohler Memoirs Shower Base 48x36 looks nice but the base is slippery, and you can slide off the seat. I must use shower mats for the base and seat to feel safe. I am disappointed in Kohler with their Grove acrylic shower receptors. As per a representative “The Groove acrylic shower receptors are not textured on the bottom. The receptors meet or exceed the code requirements as stated on their respective Specification Sheets.” Make sure you have mats handy to install before you use the shower base.

This is perfect for anyone but especially seniors. Great if you have back pain and I can sit and shave my legs or scrub my feet in comfort. Easy to install, went in like any other shower pan. This shower base is also very easy to clean.

JUST like the picture !!
HD, your initial shipper takes a LONG time. I finally went and picked mine up, as my installer was waiting for it. Excellent quality, nice and thick acrylic, worth the wait.

simple yet elegant
i have been putting off for a while the remodel on my bathroom the cast iron tub is rusted in a few areas i have wanted to take out the tub but didnt want to build a shower luckily i stumbled into the kholer shower receptor while @ HD shopping for my kitchen remodel project. i was soo in ahh of the craftmanship functionalityand simplicity to install i took it home needless to say the bathroom was finished before the kitchen!! Way to go Kohler i love my new bathroom.........
