The instructions could have been better, my husband my son and I put this together. It took us about 4 hours. My husband is very handy and this took us a while to put together get the top fitted correctly and then adding the machine screws. Overall it is working for my garden shelter so I'm happy

As a temporary storage solution it looks like it will work as needed. Bungy cord attachment of the covers is not ideal. I replaced the side cords with wire ties. I also used self drilling tapping screws in all the pipe joints to keep them from coming apart.

It was fairly easy to assemble with 2 people. Good product for the money as a temporary solution. I wouldn't bet it would survive in an area with wind storms of good magnitude. The sides will only survive as long as the bungee straps holding them together. If you anchor the poles with stakes and weight them down with some sort of sand bags or other heavy items you should be fine. If you place something of importance inside like a classic car you MUST CHECK REGULARLY for weak points in fabric, bungees and fix immediatley. Good value for the money if you assemble correctly!!

Love my canopy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My neighbors removed all their trees and my driveway was left in full sun, making that area unbearable most of the day. The 10x20 ShelterLogic Canopy dropped into the space perfectly. Now I have a very pleasant outdoor room for my plants, garden projects, bikes, and patio furniture. I love the canopy! Thank you.

I am not at all impressed with this cover. Have had it for 5 months. One heavy rain storm and this thing folded up like a bad map. 12 of the thin steel pieces (including corners) were destroyed and several grommets were ripped out of the fabric. I had installed 8 anchors with ropes to the frame to hold it down. Called and checked the price on replacement parts and the total with shipping was $154. Should have bought one of the heavier duty models in the first place. It would have been well worth the extra money up front. Good thing the 1954 Chevy pickup underneath it is made with good heavy steel and has not been restored yet.

Hello Joe,

We are awfully sorry to hear about your canopy being damaged a heavy rainstorm. This canopy is designed as a temporary structure, as listed in your manual, offering protection from damage caused by sun, light rain, tree sap, animal - bird excrement and light snow. We do offer more robust shelters meant to hold up under inclement weather. For more details please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. ShelterLogic

The best canopy out there. I have had 6-7 canopies and all of them have been good but this one is the best. I live in So California in the hills and it get windy 3-4 times a year, that once side of the canopy off. I have it ratchet down always but strong 80-100 mph winds take it down! I give it an A++++

      Hello,

We are sorry to hear about your canopy! This unit does come with a one year warranty, however, this model is not wind and snow rated therefore if your canopy was damaged due to high winds, snow or inclement weather it would not be covered. If these did not lead to the damage we would suggest filing a warranty claim on our website (www.shelterlogic.com) and have one of our experts review it and come up with a solution for you.

      Thank you

This canopy is perfect for our jobsite worker wellfare area. It is large and tall to allow our two piknic tables and room for standing. It holds up well in the rain, when tied down holds well in windy areas.

It all depends on what you will be using this for. It is probably great for some summer use. We bought it for putting over our chicken coop in the winter, where we get lots of snow. My husband reinforced the legs and tied it down, but not sure how the cover will hold up with lots of snow. I'm sure it's great for summer and we will definitely put it through the test this winter.

        Poor product
We had this canopy up for three weeks. The first storm that we had after installation basically destroyed some of the framework of the canopy and, of course, the warranty does not cover wind damage. I realize this was not the most expensive canopy available, but for the amount of money we paid we expected it to last longer than three weeks.

        great buy and value
I purchased this item in 2012 for a party and recently felt inspired to transform it lol. Its an excellent product. I have never taken it down. Its been stranding up since 6/2012 which includes super storm sandy. Its very important to anchor the canopy correctly otherwise wind will cause it to lift up. I would purchase it again and highly recommend anyone that owns this to change it to their specifications like I did :-) That bright aluminum white is the perfect canvas.

        It will do the job!
I live very close to the beach, like 3 blocks and the Mexico golf in South Florida is windy year round that's why I had to buy extra anchors to secure it on the sandy ground. I'm sure it will collapse with 20 mph winds but the good thing about it is that even my wife can take the top in 5 min and it will not suffer any damage. About assembling, my 10 years old son help was necessary and enough to finish in about 1 hour. I think that the purchase was a good move and the money was a bargain. Yes quality is not top of the line but it will do the job.

          the right size and affordable
We have needed for some time to find a shelter for our tractor. Searching the Internet for a portable car port we found that Home Depot had several to choose from. With our limited income we were able to purchase one from Home Depot that fit our budget. We ordered and picked it up right from the store in Pooler, Ga.

          Great product for the money.
The canopy went up easy, and served our purposes perfectly. We had a party and easily fit three large tables under it. The price was great and it was delivered in five days!

          No Good For Florida Heat
This canopy is secured to the frame by small bungee fasteners that cannot withstand Florida heat. They stretch, dry out, then break within months of setup. The canopy itself is prone to dry rot, tearing, and shredding. I purchased my original canopy in June 2011, had to warranty replace it through the manufacturer in November 2011, and now the replacement they sent and which I installed in February 2012 has holes and tears (it's March 2012) where it touches the frame. Most of the bungee fasteners are broken and layiing on the ground. I do a lot of wordworking and was hoping to use this as a shade, but I have given up. It was like throwing money into a fire. Great idea but there is no quality here and it is not for hot climates.

            material disintegrated in 3 months
This tent was great, for 3 months at which time the white material literally disintegrated while taking it down for approaching Hurricane Lee weather.

              Nice Ca
I have purchased 2 of these , Holds up well for my 10x10 porch for several years. it's a shame that if something happens to the canopy like mine did during a tornado that you have to purchase a whole New Frame with it..The Frame held up Good , But you can't buy the Canopy alone ,,Well you can but it will cost the same as with the frame. Other than that we'll worth it..

                Very satisfied
My wife and have a craft business that we set up at events. This tent is the perfect size for our crafts. Easy setup for one person and a stepladder. This is our second tent. The first one lasted about 6 years till the wind took it out. Will definitely purchase another one if something happens to this one.

this shelter was awful it did not stay together. And the poles kept coming apart. The rope was not enough to hold the tarp in place around the poles. It kept caving in with rain. Finally the poles broke! Not happy I am returning this shelter to the store. I have only had it for 5 months!

                  Hello Renee,

We are sorry to hear about this! Please note that this is Not a shelter, but a temporary Canopy, which is listed on the instruction manual. All our Canopies are designed as temporary structures meant to provide protection from the sun, tree sap, and bird excrement. It is recommended that the Canopy be anchored down while being used, and the cover is removed or the canopy to be stored away when not being used, or if there is inclement weather in the forecast as well. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-932-9344.

                  Thank you ShelterLogic
