The door is beautiful and opens and closes smoothly. However, it cannot be locked successfully from the outside. I thought it was better when my contractor adjusted it. However, if someone jiggles and pulls the door it will unlock and open. If it is locked from the inside it stays locked. However, I want the convenience of going out the sliding door. I have a video but I can't upload it A friend of mine had the same issue.

I purchased a door from Home Depot due to urgent contractor timelines and i found out in store that the door has damage, only to face more issues post-installation, including a key breaking inside the door. Despite providing evidence of the damage and the installation problems, customer service was unhelpful and refused to offer a resolution. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the product and the lack of support from Home Depot

Door was dropped off with out any calls from the driver nor was asked where to drop the door off. Door is damaged as well as property damage

Please note: if you are replacing patio door that is 15 years old make sure to check the width of your existing patio door bottom, to confirm you can place new one in that slot. MD was almost half inch wider than original, we had to get marble floor cut. The joints at every corner is not smooth. I am wondering how long they will hold insulation between glass. You can get better finish for less price from other brand.

Do not buy door from Master Piece! The patio door shattered. We called MP. They said something hit the inside panel which was totally not true. We had another contractor look at window who took measurements and showed what happened with video and photos proving conclusively that this door was defective at manufacture. Gas slowly leaked causing both panes to concave and shattered the inside pane. Provided evidence to Master Piece and they would still not honor warranty.

Nice door but the weather stripping is falling off the inside door. Not happy with that.

This slider door leaks. We’ve sealed everywhere imaginable around this door and it’s still leaking. It’s extremely disappointing and we are running out of things to do to fix the door. Also the locking mechanism is very poor. It’s very difficult to get it to latch and lock properly. The door was installed square and plumb. This door is going to rot my new construction floor and bedroom.

The screen door channel is breaking apart in less than a year. Weak.

We had 4 of these professionally installed on a 3-season porch. Pros: They look nice (see photo), LOVE the top locking mechanism & that you can lock the door open. Cons: Handle lock on one stopped working after 5 weeks. Top lock on one gets stuck in locked position. Metal edges around top lock(where you have to stick your finger) are very sharp. Worst of all, one door has some kind of stuff between the panes of glass that looks awful (see photo). Wish better-quality doors had been available!

I'm very happy with this MP sliding door. Home Depot had the door in stock and the Home Depot installation went great. The door is well made and the installer did a great job of installing the door along with removal and haul away of the old door. Thank you Home Depot!

Very nice door! Even the contractor was impressed. Very sturdy. Love the double locks. No more sticks in the door with this one. Love that it has a key lock as well. Provides excellent security, closes smoothly and quietly. I would recommend it!

These doors are well made, energy star and give my room agreat view. I like thelock system as well.

Value is good. ordered 2 right handed and 1 left handed (they sent the opposite for each) 1 had glue on window all 3 have issues with the locks (none work the same) Solid frame and keeps leaks out

You've got to be kidding me. I buy a 6' sliding door and the max opening you can get is 27" wide!!!!! This has got to be the worst sliding door design ever. The handle on the outside prevents it from opening wider once you remove the block guard so yeah... won't be buying another one of these anytime soon. You have to turn chairs sideways to get in an out of it. You would only find this out if the floor model actually opened instead of just mounted on the shelf at Home Depot.

At first blush, nice looking door. Slides easily. The contractor did a messy job installing it, but that does not effect function of door. Installed just under two years ago and now the locking mechanism no longer latches. Ever have a nightmare where the "Bad Guy" is going to get you and you run into shelter and lock the door but it doesn't lock? Yeah, that; except no bad guy, just my imagination (which is worse!). Called H.D. to see if warranty on locking mechanism.

Chose this door due to availability. Professionally installed with no hiccups. Slides nice. Now for the issues. This is just sloppy craftsmanship if you can even call it that. We had to caulk various parts of the door because of the gaps in it. There is gunk in multiple spots on the glass from sloppy work. Some I could scrap with my finger nail. Others I have no clue how I’m getting it off. I feel like I’m going to snap the lock right off for how far and hard we have to twist it to engage.

Need to purchase and install quickly and under a tight budget. The packaging was 'ok' some glue on the glass but overall easy to install and good looking door.

Excellent door for the money. This door is amazing at blocking out sound. Everything worked as it should. Required an additional person for installation, relatively simple for DIY.

But home depot just dropped it off this morning.. look at the glob of glue used to seal the window .. its sooo awful that i woulf take it back but contractor is coming tommorow to install...awful awful Quality assurance.

I ordered this door for delivery. Last one at my local HD. I did it online. When it arrived, it was plastic wrapped and was missing the directions and hole plugs. Possible display unit. A quick call to HD and I got “It was our last door, nothing we can do”. I didn’t want to wait any longer as the price was creeping up so I had the delivery guy unload it and we both muscled it into my garage. It is a heavy door. So the day came for my install. No rain, temps in low 80’s. They warn you that this is a 2 man job but I did it solo and I’m 65. I don’t recommend solo, I was a hyting pup for a few days. So I Ripped out the old aluminum nail fin model, had to repair some wood damage caused by a poor builder installation. I prepped the opening, flashing and caulk and eased it in. Plumed, shimmed, and screwed in place. Added trim inside and out the next day. It was a 11 hour job going solo but i love the door. Super solid. Strong and well made. Definetly a bargin for what you get. Lock and roller adjustments affect each other but only take 15 minutes. Nice lock and deadbolt. It looks so good we dont want to add a screen as it would ruin the view. So great door, caution on what HD sends you and you can install this if you have a good mechanical aptitude and some home repair experience. On the missing items, I downloaded one from the manufacturer. On the plugs I may have found them on that “ Rain Forrest” company website. HD and the manufacturer where no help there.

I love the way this door brings in more natural light. It has a good lock so my kids can't just open the door and run out. Just wish it came with a screen door, that would have been nice. But, I like this door

This is a great door. It fit the opening as it should. The one I purchased has a wood grain on the interior and white on the outside. Of course it has a key lock but it also has a security lock when used is like a dead bolt that prevents the door from being pryed open.

Really great. I Purchased this door for the stainless wheels and tracks, and the multiple locking mechanisms. My house is a bit older, so theres no amount of shimming that would get my door level, and the door still slides and works great. Looks great too.

Spent extra on this door because I thought it would be an upgrade from basic slider. I was fooled! Unit is very sloppy. Silicone smeared all over glass. Blobs on the frame and every time I slide it back and forth silicone appears in track. Not sure where that’s coming from. Also, lockset is a nightmare. Doesnt engage unless pushed into latch. I tried adjusting keeper for height and depth adjustment on latch. Either spend less and get what you expect or spend more but not on this one!

Delivery was on time and not damaged, packaged well and it also had handles to move. Door was not bent or damaged and the specifications were spot on. Installation was good because it was square and on spec, shims needed to level and frame but no big suprise there. Smooth sliding door action with good “sturdy” feel, gas filled (no drafts!), UV protection, interior door lock, keyed exterior locks (2 keys included) and side door bolt slide action for additonal interior security. For the price and, more impotantly, the availability it is working really well so far. I needed to get this on before our house siding is installed in ~3 weeks and I am glad we choose the Masterpiece!

Had this for installed by contractor a few weeks ago. Door seems good so far except for these 2 "wedge" looking items in the stationary panel which we didnt see until after it was I stalled. There are along the bottom frame where frame meets glass. I contacted MP customer service through their site last week but have gotten no reply. I am hoping this is an easy fix. And not a complete door replacement. Cant believe it left the factory this way. My review does not recommend based on how MP handles this issue.
