I should have my head examined. I paid a premium price for probably the worst door I have ever seen. My installers couldn't get it installed because the the threshold was bowed. That was on the first door. The second door I ordered and on the first door as it so happens the hinges were sprung and and misaligned in their recesses. The weather stripping had started to fray and come lose. The bottom sweep on the inactive side of the french door unit came loose, and started to tear. Cheap does not even begin to describe the door. As I loaded it on a HD truck to haul it away I noticed that there were gaps around the window seal which would have easily allowed moisture to get in between the two panes. I still make the mistake of listening to sales people rather than going with my own experience. I did not hesitate to explain my problems with the door, to insist on a refund, and to go back to square one to be satisfied with my purchase. A door should last for years, these doors would be lucky to last one, if that. I have other masonite doors but these must have been made by their toy division. I am more than just a little disappointed with myself. I will give Home Depot credit though. They have treated me very fairly in regards to these doors.
