I absolutely LOVE the look of this bird feeder but the design could use some work. To fill it with feed you unscrew the jar, fill it up, screw the bottom onto the jar and then flip it over. No matter how carefully you do this some seed is going to fall out. Then once it's right side up and the seed comes out into the tray, the jar is more than half empty. If there was an opening in the bottom of the jar that you could use to fill it, it would be much better in my opinion. I'm still happy with it because I adore Mason jars but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it worked this way.

I used this product for a candy dish for mom. She loves it and it works perfectly.

I bought two. Easy to fill and clean. Lots of perches for the birds. I’ve counted 5 birds feeding at one time with several more waiting their turn. The birds love it and that’s what counts!

Very poor design - impossible to fill properly. I returned it.

1. The perch fell off right after unboxing due to lousy soldering. Will have to see if we can use a small screw. 2. The mouth of the jar has a couple of small chips on the rim. 3. There are no threads on the metal base so the jar does not lock securely onto it. Will have to see if a rubber gasket will help. I don't even care that it's tricky to fill up completely; it's no different than a hummingbird feeder in that regard. The overall lack of quality is what I care about.

This is my favorite bird feeder. It is attractive, the birds love it, and--what really sets it apart from the others--it is so easy to clean.

The bird feeder looks lovely when hanging. The jar is filled with the opening at the top. You then screw the bottom on the glass jar, and turn it over, and 50% of the seed goes into the bottom. The feeder then looks half filled. The birds like it, the squirrels jump on it and can sit on the bottom piece to get some of the seed.

easy to use

Because this is a bottom loaded feeder, half of the glass jar is empty by the time you flip it back over after a fill up. The bottom only secures via three little indents in the metal, so I worry that if larger birds landed, they'd dump open the entire jar. Additionally, because of how it's loaded, it makes quite a mess when you have to flip it back over for a refill. It matched my other yard decor perfectly, but because of the quality, I will be returning the feeder.

This product is flocking wonderful. Up to our beaks in wild birds.

Birds love it and it looks great in my yard. I like the way it is designed. The seeds don't fall out of it when the birds land on it, like most bird feeds.

It is wonderful. I already had one as a gift. I bought 2 more Birds of all sizes come to eat and they are so much fun to watch. What would make it better would be to have a hangar provided also. The birds ❤️ it

It's a great feeder

This is just right for small chicks and keets. They can't scratch the feed out because of the small holes.

Easy to fill and it provides a good perch (especially for some of the larger birds). The only knock I have is that unless you screw the lid on VERY tight, squirrels/raccoons are able to open it up. Not a deal-breaker, just be sure give it a GOOD twist.

I always love a mason jar so it was a easy pick and the birds like it, I put a no mess seed in and it does the job. Nice Feeder

My wife likes to feed the birds. We have the fattest birds around. The wife liked this feeder in the store so I bought it for her and we added it to the in-use feeder station. Didn't think about it in the store but when you fill the feeder jar and invert it to screw on to the base the seed falls into the base rendering the jar 1/2 full. Sure is purty though.

The mason jar is a good design with nice large opening for larger birds.

This feeder is so much easier to clean than the long tube feeders. The one note is that you do need to put up a squirrel barrier on the pole you hang this feeder on--otherwise the squirrels can get into the seed easily.
