We had a similar mailbox for several years at a previous location and we had good service from it. We ordered the larger mailbox for packages. I would have given it five stars but while it is wider than the typical mailbox, it does not appear to be any taller in the center. We are still very happy with this purchase.

The seams do not fit together very well and looks sloppily made. The rear access doors on the paper chutes are crooked and do not fit the way they should otherwise the mailbox is good came assembled and went up in 10 minutes over the already installed post.

Easy to install, once the post was in the ground! At first was worried the paper was going to get wet in the slots, with wind blown rain, but paper can be pushed quite a ways back in its slot, and has not been wet, despite lots of hard rain! Mail slot holds a lot, including small packages!

This mailbox was a huge disappointment. I will not be buying any more products from MailMaster. The top part of the mailbox was defaced with cut marks. The doors in the back of the mailbox were defaced, like someone had cut it with a utility knife. The back doors are cheap, flimsy pieces of plastic that are misaligned and don't open and close properly. These back "flaps", not doors, are not capable of keeping out rain and snow. I picked it up today and I returned it today.

Came complete with all mounting hardware and numbers. The only thing I had to do was buy the post and dig the hole for it and I was back in the mail receiving business. I previously had the same box which was 14 years old and still functioning perfectly until a car ran it down. Love the bigger size which will accept somewhat larger packages than the regular size box.

Mailbox was easy to install, looks great, and has good capacity. Magnets were a little strong making the doors hard to open. Place a piece of duct tape over the magnet and plate which reduced the force reqired to open which pleased both the postman and me.

After 10 years with the standard version we decided to update to a new one. The prior door latch was rusted (could be made less corrosive), and the snow plows had done their share of damage. I was going to replace with the same standard size, but this beast was cheaper. I figured why not, and with the benefits of any photos not having to be bent to fit in the box. Also should give room for some larger packages. Overall a pretty good product. Excellent value.

After a snowplow took out our old mailbox, we went looking for a box that could hold lots of magazines and packages that we receive. This thing is huge. Easy installation, solid construction, pleasing to look at. FAST Shipping!

I get 2 newspapers every day and since this is a 2-holer there is no conflict between paper carriers. This is the 2nd one of these I've purchased…I left the other one at the old house…by the way, it was up for at least 10 years there!

This purchase was for a replacement of a mailbox that was damaged during the winter. Replacing the 4X4 with a new piece was easy as the hole was already dug. After plumbing and cutting to height the actual installation time for the new mailbox was less than 5 minutes. Two lag screws in the front and two screws for the opposite side cover plate. Even the self-stick numbers were included. Very pleased with the design and operation of the mailbox itself.

The MailMaster came fully assembled, but the fit of the mailbox to the plastic post was a little sloppy as well as the back flaps for newspapers. Other than that, the mailbox is fantastic and I'm on my second one. The first on I had for years until the mail truck hit it. Because of the sloppy assembly, I could only give it 4 stars but still, it's a great mailbox.

Ready to install out of the box! At very little more than the standard single wide box, this is so much more convenient for larger parcels and/or magazines and papers. I also liked that you get a cover for the back of the unit hiding the wood post. My only complaint is that it is not carried in store and does not qualify for free shipping to the house.

The mailbox is well made but I have to wait till the frost is out of the ground to install it. The box that it came in was pretty much destroyed when delivered and a one lag screw was missing.

This is our second set of these mailboxes. We use them at our dual office in a commercial area. A semi drove over the other 2, crushing them. We liked them so much that we bought 2 more as replacements.

The construction of the box is solid, installation was easy, I really like the large size, it holds a large amount of mail, which is good because then I don't have to check mail every day. I also like the large size because even large size envelopes lay flat in the mailbox.

This is a spacious, tough mailbox with 2 paper slots below. It has survived fireworks, ball bats and 2 or 3 swipes with my tractor while plowing snow. The school bus finally did it in, however IT WAS STILL STANDING!! The first one lasted 15 years, enough said.

If you are looking for an easy installation, this larger mailbox is for you. Simply buy a post, dig the hole and set it with quick dry cement. Fit the mailbox over it and bolt it on. The wait time for the cement took the longest. I only wish that it fit totally around (or over) the wood post rather than 3 sides. This would make it even sturdier.

HD had the best price on the net by far. This maibox came ready to go out of the box. Just put the address numbers on and slide on to the 2 foot above ground portion of your 4x4. Then four screws and your done. Easy install and it looks great. Very happy with my purchase.

I looked at every commercially available mailbox and the mailmaster deluxe is the most well constructed mail box available in the market. Excellent quality and an excellent value for the cost.

huge mailbox which can handle anything the mailperson can carry. even parcels that come USPS will fit into this box. no assembly needed. only 1 - 4 foot post needed to secure. you need to "plant" the post 2 feet into ground and have 2 feet above ground to secure box.

It was easy to install, looks great and has lots of room for newspapers and mail. I would highly recommend it!

I like the larger size of the compartment and the dual newspaper slots. My only issue is with the stability of the box. Due to the larger box size, it required me to cut off about 12 inches of the existing 4x4 post. Because the box is top heavy, I have concerns about its' stability if someone should either pull or push the mailbox forward or backward. The only thing holding the box onto the post is 2 screws in the front, which go through the plastic. The back has nothing. It would be better if the plastic portion was fully enclosed and slipped over the post and then screwed into place.

Thought it might be too big but it's perfect for fitting small packages and bulk mail. Took 15 min. to put up, durable.. didn't move through hurricane, I'd say it's a keeper. I love not having to step onto street now to get mail.. and even my mail lady thanked me for the new mailbox! Looks huge in picture, but it is a good size.

My mailbox has been plowed over 3 times. Bought this on the advise of my neighbor who has the same one. He even gave me the 4X4 post he had left. Easy to install, just have to dig the hole for the post, 2 lag bolts with a drill driver, and 2 screws in the back and put the numbers on. That is the only negative, not enough numbers. My neighbor had the same problem. Had to buy numbers at the local hardware. 5 number addresses need more numbers than what is included. Not a deal breaker.

this mailbox is an great buy for the money. it is a solidly constructed unit that is virtually indestructible and i expect it to last many years.

Order arrived in just 3 days. Installed easily and looks great. There are a number in the local area and now I see why. Well made and I believe will last many years.

Why not? Because I really like them, and the manufacturer has discontinued making them. These are the last ones on Earth, and as such my personel stash!!
