Great look but that handle!
Love the look in my new shower stall however beware when cleaning as this handle tore my forearm apart!

We Needed This Update
The shower system in our master bath was shot. Our faithful plumber, Dave, bought us two kits. We chose the Moen.

Absolute junk
This Moen came with my new house. After 6 years of relatively light use the internals failed on this shower faucet. When I rotate the handle it fails to open the valve inside so water no longer comes out. I’m going to have to remove the wall behind the shower in order to replace the part. Total bummer. I will never buy this brand again - any company that incorporates design obsolescence should rightfully go out of business.

Nice but has an achilles heel
Three of these were installed in our new home 2 years ago and the handles have come loose, one doing so within a year. The set screws which appear to be zinc or some cheap metal cannot be tightened as they simply strip the hex key openings when attempting to turn. The solution appears to be to drill out the screws and if the valve is damaged to install another brand shower valve assembly. To use a substandard set screw in what at first glance looks to be a high quality faucet is a shame. A stainless steel set screw would cost maybe a cent or two more?

Broke after 2 years ...
The cartridge broke after just over 2 years of use. Getting it replaced via warranty wasn't worth it because I had to shut off the water due to the cartridge breaking. Luckily it was easy enough to install, so if it breaks again in another 2 years I can replace it again! Oh and don't lose the pin behind your wall, took me about 30 minute to fish it out wit a magnet and it's not carried in most stores.

The original part lasted 3 years. The valve was getting very hard to turn. The new part was easy to install and now turns easily.

Wonderful pressure & durable
My husband could install this so I would recommend this to all that do not have the handiest plumber living in your house. It shoots out water great & I love that you can turn off half at a time to conserve water when you shave your legs. It sprinkles out great & makes me want to stay in the shower longer (good or bad, it you know me). I would tell anyone to buy this product. It is so much better than the one we had in before. The color looks great with anything in your bathroom which is wonderful because it goes good with all of our other features in our bathroom. Thanks for making a great product!
