Advertised measurements are incorrect.
The product description says this has a 6in outer diameter, it is actually 3in.

Fair-with the connecting attachment it will screw into the drain, but it stays down and doesn’t have the ability to click up and stay so water can drain. I may throw it away.KR

Hello Karen and thank you for the feedback you posted on the Home Depot website. The Moen Tub/Shower Accent Kit in Brushed Nickel comes with an escutcheon ring that is to be installed on the shower arm to hide the hole in the wall. The larger escutcheon ring in this kit is to be installed behind a tub spout to hide the hole in the wall or close the gap between the spout and wall. Used this to cover a too large shower head hole. Put both parts on the shower head pipe. Used som...
Used this to cover a too large shower head hole. Put both parts on the shower head pipe. Used some doublesided tape to keep both parts together, and some electrical tape to keep the escutcheon in place. Parts arrived timely with no damage.

The diameter of this covered up the saw cuts in the tile that the smaller one that came with the original shower kit left exposed. Looks great now.

Suitable Replacement Part
Replacement flanges fit my tub spout with some slight modification. Although finish does not exactly match the brushed nickel finish of the tub spout (American Standard), it looks fine and one would have to view the flange up close to see that the finish doesn't match exactly. Good value compared to other vendors.
