Poorly made
This is a loud poorly made version of the tool made famous by fein. The oscillation mechanism is loud and internally sloppy, which results in inconsistent motion at the blade or sanding head. The m12 battery is poorly moulded, this means that the battery is not well retained, I had a 3.0 fall out cracking the battery housing. The tool was part of a kit, so expectations were low, either way, not up to the standard of other m12 Milwaukee tools I own. ☹️

Thank you for taking the time in leaving a review! We do have a M12 FUEL™ Oscillating Multi-Tool generates the fastest 12V cut speed, lowest full-tool vibration, and delivers tool-free blade change for faster accessory changes and no misplaced tools. - Milwaukee Tool, Social Team

Not worth the money compared to competitors
I bought this tool as I am trying to transition from a heavy dewalt ecosystem into Milwaukee. This tool is worse than every other multi tool I own from multiple brands. The speed control is very poor and any tool that requires a tool to use it in these days it's not worth it in my opinion. Requires a loose Allen wrench that Can't be stored on the tool instead of a tool free blade change.

      Faulty design
The tool has 8 metal nubs that hold the cutting tool in place. The 1st time i used it 5 of them sheared off

      Must have multi tool
I’ve been a long time Milwaukee fan and this multi tool does not disappoint. I’ve used it for just about cutting anything you could imagine. Makes cutting for electric boxes in shiplap a dream and drywall like cutting hot butter. If needed you can cut a 2x4 no problem. The trick to a quality cut for what your cutting is the blade quality, there expensive but worth every penny. If you buy cheap blades you will not like it. It can be a battery hog so have a few battery’s and a 4 amp hr battery is best for big jobs. It’s a bargain and the possibility’s are endless even cuts pvc and copper. Highly recommended this tool.

        Price doesn’t reflect quality
Had for a few years but only used a handful of times for small DIY projects. 1 star for ergonomics. Definitely not beat up, even the bag is still clean. The positive side of the plug got stuck in the battery. No idea how this even happens, battery gets pulled straight out. Tool didn’t even pay for itself.

This is the Milwaukee M12 Multi-Tool kit. It comes with two batteries (one 3.0 Ah and one 1.5 Ah), Charger, and Bag. I bought this tool for one specific purpose—to cut out holes in sheetrock for electrical boxes (see Photo 1). It gets really old using a corded tool for this purpose, so I decided to go cordless. This tool is absolutely perfect for this job. It’s light, easy to maneuver, and gets the job done quickly. Highly recommended.

Overall a must have tool with multiple uses if you buy the proper blades separately. Plunge cuts through drywall, trim baseboard and door jambs with ease. Also great for grout removal and scrapping adhesive.

I have several M12 and M18 tools. I bought this M12 Cordless Oscillating tool because I wanted the tool, and I needed a new M12 charger. My previous M12 charger died after a year of light use. I love Milwaukee tools, but their chargers suck! With the new unit, I charged the battery once, then the new charger died too... :( It sits right next to my M18 charger (same outlet), and the M18 charger is fine. Maybe Milwaukee just doesn't spend money on developing a good M12 charger.

            Surprising Performance
I challenged the tool right out of the box to help me remove a stubborn outdoor deck bracket with hopelessly frozen mounting screws. As a long time owner of a contractor grade Fein Multi-master corded tool I was curious if this smaller cordless tool could handle this type of application. I mounted a well used Bosch carbide tip metal cutting blade from my Fein Toolbox and secured it for operation using the Milwaukee supplied adapter to fit most blades available from other similar tools. I was able to cleanly and quickly slice through the metal screws and remove the bracket without needing to drag out an extension cord. While the M12 is not for heavy duty use such as all day cutting jobs or those that require cutting heavy metal, this M12 tool is winner and a real value that belongs in DiYer's and homeowners toolboxes.

            Good, could be better
Surely this isn't the fuel option but it still seems a little loud at higher speeds. Also wish it had a tool-less chuck but that's not the end of the world; I don't change attachments super often. Performance wise it works as it should and I really like it, I probably should habe just gotten the Fuel model.

              Weak and tool blade change
It works. Kind of. The tool is not very powerful and has a hard time clearing its own dust from a cut. Cuts slowly. Its light, so you won’t get tired waiting for this thing to cut. Don’t buy this version. The tool needs a hex wrench to change the blade. That and the adapter killed it for me. Needs an adapter for most blades, which my helper quickly lost. I also own one from Ryobi. It works way better and doesn’t have fiddley bits that get lost. Even the HFT version spanks this thing.

It gets the job done, but get the Fuel
This was my first ever Multi-tool. I used it to cut out a hole in drywall for a junction box. It did the job well. The tools feels great in hand, when it's off. The vibration is intense in my hand when using it. I could not use this for very long at a time. I really like the size of this version of the tool, but the Fuel version is much better to use.

As with any Milwaukee tool it works great. We had to replace our old one which had about a million hours on it.
