Exactly what I needed.
I aim very satisfied with this product. I tried a few other variable speed fan switches, and they were a waste of time and money. Cost more than other products, but it works and not hard to install.

Excellent Fan Control
This is a great switch for controlling the speed of your ceiling fan at the switch, particularly for those situations where it is inconvenient to use the chain switch at the fan (i.e., can't reach because of height of fan or furniture in the way.) It has seven speeds so one is sure to meet your needs.

Good idea but...
The point of this switch is controlling the speed of the fan at the wall switch or remotely with an IR remote control (i.e., from your bed). It does not come with the remote control and Home Depot does not sell the remote control. Home Depot sells the remote control for the companion light switch but not the fan switch. I had to search the Internet to find another place to buy the remote control.
