Installation was easy, 2 pwr wires, and a case ground. It fit perfect. Programmable for the amount of time it stays on after you leave (within limits of course). You can set the brightness you want when you first walk in, not just 100% bright (initial setting). A couple other features you can adjust also. This makes the steep price tag it command's ~ $41.00+ for (1) light switch. That’s a lot bucks IMO. (maybe you can find a discount if you’re old like me). The convenience of not having to fumble for the a small light switch, or slider bar in the middle of the night is well worth the cost.

Used this to operate an LED driver powering some toe kick lighting on a floating bathroom vanity. Works like a charm giving the customer indirect lighting as soon as they enter the bathroom. The only disappointment was that I can't figure out how to get the motion sensor to kick the lights back on at a preset dimmed level, however I am just assuming that I didn't properly take the time to find the correct setting.

I have had a few of these switches around the house for a few years and they work great. I use them in closets, hallways, outside sheds and even with a desk light so that lights come on automatically when I enter the room or open a door or set down at my desk and I don't have to flip a switch when I leave. You can never forget to turn off a light. The sensitivity is adjustable and the dimmer works on LED's. LED's do not flicker with this switch. They are easy to wire. Just 2 wires and a ground.

Product not as advertised by manufacturer
I purchase two of these sensor dimmers for the top of the stairs (Front and Basement), then a companion dimmer for the front one which is a two way... They work fairly well but the sensor range is not as advertised... It is supposed to be 30 ft horizontal, 4 ft vertical, yet with the sensor set to highest sensitivity it will not detect anyone coming from the bottom of the stairs until you are on the last step at the top which is right in front of the sensor... Planning to return and purchase another brand...

Great for kid's bathroom
I have a number of Lutron switches and outlets and was eager to try this one with occupancy sensor. It replaced a standard single pole decora switch in the bathroom downstairs that the kids use often...so now no more lights being left on! Installation was a breeze. After switching the power off from the breaker panel, I removed the face plate and single pole switch and disconnected the wires. The back of the Lutron switch has both screw terminals and push-in terminals, and since my solid wires were already cut and stripped to the correct length, all I had to do was push them into the push-in terminals and connect the ground wire. All the hardware is included; wire nuts, screws to mount the switch, and even a jumper wire for a 3-way switch rewire. The face plate, however, is not included. But this wasn't an issue since I was replacing an existing switch. This CL dimmer has a lot more flexibility for installations than I needed for my single pole replacement. But the programming features to customize how long the lights would stay on, the sensitivity, etc. were needed and appreciated. Most important to me was the timeout adjustment which allows you to set it to 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 15 min or 30 min before the lights turn off after triggered. I set it for 5 min but may adjust it later. Also good to note is that you can customize the settings without having to remove the switch from the wall, and that this switch will work with dimmable CFL or LED bulbs. So far, it has worked very well with the kids. The only knock I have is that the switch doesn't seem to detect motion through a glass shower door, which could be because of the steam. In my installation, the switch faces a small shower with sliding glass doors, and after the timeout period, I had to open the door and wave my hand for it to active again. Anyway, this isn't a major issue since this shower is not used that often.

A new member to the Maestro Family; the CFL/LED Occupancy Sensing Dimmers
This is the new addition to the Lutron Maestro family, the MAESTRO 150-WATT SINGLE-POLE/3-WAY CFL-LED DIMMER WITH OCCUPANCY SENSING technology. Technology is advancing everyday, and it makes our lives more easy and convenient. Very easy to install and to program with various features. It turns ON and brightens gradually, and turns OFF with gradually dimming. It also works as an Occupancy sensor with various time outs. Daylight sensor is another feature, it will not turn ON at day time, if you set that feature.

An occupancy sensor with loads of extras
This occupancy sensor works very well and has a number of great features. 1. It can be set to a specific dimness level. The dimming works with both CFLs and LEDs. 2. It can wired to a single pole or a 3-way circuit. 3. There is a manual on/off switch. 4. It has a light sensing ability that can be used to prevent it from turning the lights on during daylight. Moreover, it has the ability to learn when those times are as you turn it off during full daylight. 5. All of the settings are adjustable. I have it in a laundry room, and it is behind the dryer in what would seem to be a defilade that would prevent it from working. But it has a wide sensing angle and thus works quite well. If there is any problem with this switch, it's the inclusion of the dimming capability. For an occupancy sensing switch, it's largely unnecessary in my view.

This dimmer switch works well as a dimmer and is easy to install. However, the menu and methods for adjusting features like brightness when activated, departure delay, etc., are obtuse and tortured. Anyone who has a screwdriver and the ability to read can get this switch working, but the layers of features require a very close reading of non-intuitive instructions.

They don't last more then a year
Between 6 months and a year it will start to turn on and off all day and all night. I adjusted the sensitivity down and that didn't help. I ended up replacing the first one for that reason and now the second one is doing it also. Looking at a different brand now. I do not recommend

This light switch with a dimmer and motion sensor is the model number that I needed. My existing light switch only has two wires inside of the junction box- one red and one blue with no neutral wire. Other types of dimmer switches won't work with what I have, but this done did the job! Features such as motion sensor, timed lighting, the option for 50% to 100% light output are packed within this switch. Lutron's customer service is great too as I had question with the operations of the switch which were all answered with just one phone call!

Motion sensitivity is not consistent. Occasionally I'll need to walk about 1/3 of the way into the room before the lights will turn on. Other times, just opening the door will work. Same light level.

It probably works but, I may never know.
The description on the packaging is deceptive. It claims to be suitable for a 3-way circuit and multi-way circuits. That would lead me to believe that it would work for my circuit (3 switches that control a single fixture) but wait...there's more. After getting it home and opening the package to read the wiring instructions they reveal that it will not work in a multi-way circuit without companion dimmers MA-R as the other switches. Arrrgh! So, 40 bucks for this switch and now another 22 bucks for each of the other switches. More than 80 bucks to put a motion sensing switch on my light. This may have to go back to the store.
