My husband installed this sensor switch after viewing some youtube videos. It works like a charm! I open my door to my laundry room and waaaa...laaa the light goes one and within a minute of leaving, the light goes off. Wish I had this technology years ago.

Great switch for simple on / off with or with lack of motion. Simple adjustments with no bells and whistles.

Were easy to install and appear to be working properly. We will be purchasing more to install throughout our building.

Fits right into the electrical box and is easy to install. The only issue I have is that it doesn't come in the dark grey color to match my other Lutron light switches. Other than that it's just what I expected.

Piece makes a comforting 'click' sound like an old-style micro-switch, which suggests it might last awhile. But the body of the thing is entirely plastic, which questions if it could even withstand the rigors of installation, much less daily life in a house with active kids. And the brass plate at top isn't even on the piece, all they provide now is a bent wire. Really cheesy. I expect HD to be getting a lot of these back. Oh - one more item: I got the two hot-leads hooked up and it didn't work, so took it back to the store where I was lucky enough to speak with an experienced electrician who advised me the unit has to be GROUNDED before it will even function. DUH!... Why can't they tell you that in the documentation ?!?!?!? Cost me a trip back to the job and store. I'll use it, but I don't recommend it to anyone.

No more lights turning off halfway through loading the washing machine! This was a rrplacement. Easy installation & programming. Looks good, works great.

The switch is easy to install and program. Works well.

Easily set up (don't lose those instructions for future changes), good sensitivity, easy override, works with any type bulb or motor up to it's rated capacity, can be used as occupancy (comes on when entering room and goes off at your desired time setting) or vacancy (you turn it on manually and it goes off at your set timeout). I need them for both occupancy and vacancy. I don't always want my 4 flood bathroom lights on unless I'm at the mirror, but I like the bathroom chandelier to come on whenever I enter the room to prevent moisture accumulation during the day and for light at night. I've installed about 15 motion switches from GE, Leviton, Lux, and now this Lutron. The Lutron is the first of the new generation with enhanced algorithmic motion detection, so it is far superior to the others I have in the house. I will also soon try the new generation Leviton switch as it is cheaper to see if it matches up to the Lutron, but I can highly recommend this Lutron. No more flickering compact florescent bulbs. Another nice thing about these new generation switches in my kitchen application is I never need to turn it on. The photo sensor works better than the Leviton it replaced and that needed to be turned OFF each morning and turned ON each evening because of varying light conditions. The Lutron has a "learning" feature for the photo sensor. After you first install it, you may find you need to use the override to turn it ON or OFF if it comes on in too little light or doesn't come on at dusk. When you do this, the switch "learns" that the light present at that time should be considered the new reference level and it resets itself. It seems to work pretty well. At least I no longer had to use the override switch (the big button) after the first day or two. One important installation consideration is the necessity of connecting a ground wire. The switch won't work without it, so you need to make sure you have one in your box. Great product for the discriminating consumer. It also comes in a multitude of colors if you are willing to wait for it to be shipped by HD or your other favorite online retailer.
