A great addition to laundry room. Because the motion sensor has such a wide angle of view, it sensed movement in the adjoining kitchen. A small strip of black electric tape over a portion of the sensor solved the problem. The family loves the convenience of this automatic switch.

This switch is amazing it has multiple different settings that it can be programmed for it is better than a motion light you can put it anywhere to control any light and it has a great range at least 25 feet it works everytime

Easy install and simple programming but depth could be an issue
Easy to install and timer setting programmable by holding down the switch and releasing based on simple to understand flash sequence to set time out period (1 flash for test mode, 2 flashes - 1 minute, 3 flashes - 5 minutes, 4 flashes - 15 minutes, and 5 flashes - 30 minutes). For sensitivity or ambient mode that requires removing the wall plate to access a lever that has to be depressed along with or independently. A plastic housing and a little deep so ensure the connections are secured and gangbox is deep enough for the space required.

Questionable QA, limited settings
Thought I got a bad unit but turns out the PCB was just installed upside-down by factory. Pic is how I found it. Flipping PCB fixed it. -2 stars for poor QA and limited settings (shortest timeout is 5m, want ~1m)

Esay to install.
I am a beginner to electrical, so i didn't think i would be able to install this. However, i just installed 6 of them throughout my home and they work perfect . The instructions are very easy to follow and I had one issues and customer service and support was easy to get a hold of and help.

These Sensor Switches are Great
These occupancy sensors are great they work properly and save energy installation is not too hard. I installed mine in my bathroom but have more around the house. The only thing is mine can’t see through my shower glass since it’s privacy glass so I set the timer to 15 minutes so it won’t turn off when someone’s in the shower. Other then that it’s great.

Oh my gosh. These have changed my life. When my arms are full and I need the light on, I no longer have to reach for it. It’s automatic! Especially helpful in pantry and garage. I love them.

Works with LED bulbs, but weird click sound when it turns on
I was replacing a light fixture from fluorescent to integrated LED to incandescent. My old motion light switch did not work with the integrated LED. So, I decided to change to incandescent with LED bulbs, as well as go ahead and update to this motion light switch because it DOES work with LED bulbs. I wasn't sure if my old one would work or not, and I was very tired of running into issues with this project.
Anyhow, the switch works great -- but there is an audible clicking sound when the light turns on and off. I kept the cover from the old motion sensor switch.

Super Convenient
Installed in my closet and I have never been happier. The joy of just walking into the closet and having the lights turn on is great. In fact, I enjoyed them so that I purchased some more for around the house and the garage. It just has been wildly convenient to have them installed in strategic places such as the closet and garage.
Installation was a breeze and took about 5 minutes. After that, the motion sensor just works. It is able to switch between the motion sensor mode and the vacancy mode. Vacancy mode is pretty cool, it allows you to manually turn on the light but it will stay on as long as it senses movement and turns off when it doesn't. It also senses ambient light so that when it is too bright outside it won't turn on, which is 'trainable'.
Overall, very happy with Lutron and the motion sensor.

Does what it's supposed to do, and easy to install. I put one in my pantry since the kids seems to always be in and out of there and leave the light on... or should I say used to leave the light on. Now it turns off after 1 minute of no motion (you can adjust that time). I also put one in the laundry room since there is a tendency to be walking in or out carrying a laundry basket which doesn't make it as easy to turn the light on or off. Now it turns on when you walk into the laundry room and again 1 minute after you leave.

I purchased this for the lights in my basement. This device solved my problem of sometimes forgetting to shut the light off or thinking I was going to return and did not. Now I don't have to go back down stairs to shut the lights off. I found the instructions included with the switch a little confusing when it came to pressing AND HOLDING a particular button to make a custom change. I downloaded the associated PDF file from the Lutron website and found those directions to be clearer. The switch works fine but the only problem I have is that the switch is right outside the basement door so it is not able to sense that I am still in the room. This can be resolved by getting up every 30 minutes to reactivate or waving something in front of the sensor from around the corner.

Nice addition. Originally installed in a bathroom with the switch on the same side the door swings. Now installed in all my bathrooms utility closet an garage. Great for if you have little 9nes that can't quite reach the switch. Not soo many handprints on your walls

Wall Plate / Face Plate Optional
The control works as advertised. Easy to program because the instructions are clear. The only negative thing is that the manufacturer or executive or board of directors decided not to include the wall plate or face plate. How much can a plate cost the company? I mean we're paying $20.00 bucks for the thing! Now I got to go back to The Home Depot to buy a plate.

The particular model number you purchased does not include the wall plate making it a good fit for those adding this sensor to multi-gang applications or for using it under a different plate. The switch does the job reasonably well. I would like the 'sensitive to light' feature to be somewhat more sensitive. I.e. don't turn on the lights when natural lighting is sufficient.
I would suggest having some larger size wire-nuts because the existing wiring seems generally to have multiple ground wires twisted together and adding two more seems a bit too much for the 'yellow' wire-nuts provided. Perhaps two yellow and one of a larger size?

We are glad to hear that the switch is working as it is supposed to. There is actually a method to set an ambient light setting where the lights would not turn on in natural light. I have attached the programming guide for your convenience to have a look at the setting.

I really like these light switches, they are helpful when you can't use your hands to turn off the light or when you get close to the switch, I have this one by the stairs since the switch is upstairs and every time I want to walk upstairs I do not like to turn off and come down and turn off the switch so this light switch will turn on and off after I am upstairs. it is convenient to have.

The easy to install Maestro 2 Amp Motion Sensor light switch solved two problems inside our walk-in pantry. In a recent remodel the left handed hinged door was replaced by a more contemporary barn door. The new design provided better access to shelves etc. but the light switch was on the wrong side of the opening for easy access. The motion switch eliminated the problem of having an awkward reach to turn on the light. Also typically one enters a pantry empty handed but leaves carrying one or more items. The Maestro motion sensor switch illuminates the pantry upon entry and is programmed to automatically turn off the light after one minute once motion is no longer detected. This works like a charm! We're looking for other places to use this switch to make our lives easier.

I installed this in my kitchen so that my half blind dog would stop running into stuff. The sensor picks up my dog, and not my cats, which is very convient. No more dog running into stuff in the middle of the night and waking me up! Let me tell you, the instructions to program it were very confusing to me. I recommend watching the youtube video at “ https://youtu.be/_MZQo1eZROk” as it is alot easier to understand. I did not use the recommended switch cover as I had multiple switches at that location. It fit with no problem as you can see in the picture. I dropped a star because i spent 20 minutes trying to program it.

We have multiple of these in our house. The sensor range is good and always turns on the light when we enter. We use in the pantry, laundry room, broom closet, and closet under the stairs. Nice to not have to reach for the switch and to know it will automatically go off a short while after I leave. Also nice that you can manually turn off the light if you want and it will still work with the sensor the next time.

I bought this sensor light switch for my grandson's bedroom as he would leave the light on most of the time even though he was not occupying it. I would have like to used it in the auto on and off mode but couldn't because, I thought the light would go on during the night while he was sleeping if the switch detected movement. So I set it to manual on and auto off after one minute. So far it has been working fine in the manner that I program it.
