I purchased this diffuser to replace the original which broke after it fell from the ceiling & hit the floor. However, the real culprit responsible for it falling & breaking was actually the plastic fasteners that are used to secure the diffuser to the light fixture's base. In short, most plastic objects oxidize over time, especially given ample exposure to light. In this case, the plastic fasteners lasted for about 10 years. But they finally became brittle enough for one to break, and that’s what caused our equally brittle, 10-year-old plastic diffuser to come crashing to the floor. So in addition to hunting down this diffuser, I also needed to contact Lithonia (@ 770-922-9000) to see if the fixture’s fasteners were available. And to my utter amazement, this company seems genuinely committed to providing good product support--because they’re sending me 2 new fasteners free of charge, which is great. Anyway, if you’re shopping for a new diffuser, maybe you could use a couple of new fasteners too? God bless! (:

Easy install

Identical Replacement for old diffuser which cracked when dropped about 8 feet. Nothing fancy, just a basic cover which lets sufficient light through.

The Home Depot part number given to me by Lithonia Lighting was for a diffuser for the current model 15" inch "Pillow" light, not for the original model purchased in 1994. I returned it to Home Depot for a refund. Sorry, can't send a picture because it could not be installed.

This was purchased because the heat from the fixture made the original diffuser brittle and start to fall apart. It went on easily and looks like new. Just hope it lasts longer than original. These should be made tougher in the first place.

Did not like the appearance of this item, would not recommend purchase.

Purchased this light three years ago for my mom's walk in pantry. It is instant on and gives a bright light. One of the two bulbs did burn out after two years, but otherwise it has been a great light which I would recommend.
