I ordered these lights so that I may use them when lobster trapping. They go on a float that is attached to my trap underwater. The only way to retrieve my gear is to be able to find each of my floats 1 hour later. These lights are great and can be seen for a good distance at night. My problem with them is in the description it says they have a 1 hour timer built in them. I almost lost so much gear my first night using them as after 30 mins all my lights went out and I had no way to see my floats!!! If you say they have certain specs then your product better have those specs.

I like to fish from my kayak at dusk, and at night, but our state law requires that you have to have a lighted safety mast. I used a piece of 1/2" dia. PVC drinking water pipe at 40" with red and white reflective tape at the top, then inserted the green glow stick into the piping with the flasher on. It was a cheaper alternative than the higher priced lighted mast models on the market. My friends & I like to use the green and blue glow sticks for night use. * Also, in CT, it's required that ALL kayak & canoe users must have a safety whistle. The end that inserted into the PVC pipe is a cap for the Safety Whistle!

Works ok till the batteries run out, than good luck trying to replace them. No instructions come with it. You have to look it up online. Than taking them out and realigning them with the on off switch is futile. And if you do, the junk switch on it won't turn it off and on no matter how many times you try. At this point you might as well just throw it away. Spend a little more money and get one that is easy to replace batteries and will work after that.

The light does what it’s supposed to do, except I ordered a red one and blue one. The red one stopped working and I have to bang it against something to get it back on. Strange, but worked.

Found this light as a Black Friday SALE. Free shipping and a GREAT price, WOW !!!! Bright lights and a magnet on the end. Needed a flashlight to check under the bed, grabbed this and it was like daytime.

Failed within minutes. Returned to store.

It works the way is is supposed to.

These definitely last a long time, but that's extended significantly with the ability to turn them off, unlike the snap and shake glow sticks. Way more applications than are listed. We got them for our kids to play with while camping -- we got them each a different color so that we could tell who-was-where from a distance. And now I'm using them as nav lights on my kayak. It really helps that each of them has a flashlight built-in, in case my headlamp batteries die. Can't beat the versatility of these things!

The light is actually brighter than what I anticipated. totally impressed for the value.

I bought these for the kids to have for a camping trip, and they were a hit! Although we did have to ask theat they only use the whistles if they ACTUALLY saw a bear, so that they would stop bothering us and the neighboring campers!
