I bought this sensor for my office, mounted at the corridor. It was very easy to install . It works well. As soon as somebody enters , it puts the lights on . In the day time when there is sun light , it is not activated . It is a good energy saving sensor . I recommend this sensor to everybody who wants to light the rooms automatically , without using a switch.

Kind of pricey for a motion light, but once we got it installed and saw how great it works it is worth the price. The design is thorough and very functional. We put this in a storage area that we don't use all the time but it's nice to walk in with your arms full and the light goes on automatically. This light has memory that learns and adjusts its settings. Im not sure how but it does. You can select the area you want it to register. When there is enough light coming through the window it doesn't activate itself so thats another great feature. I want to install another one in our garage so I never drive in to a dimly lit garage at night. I can see many uses for this light. It is bright. Fairly easy to install, but you have to purchase a separate power pack in order for this to work which is kindof a bummer and extra expense.

Ceiling mount motion sensor for indoor occupancy by Leviton is a great idea and useful light for area your don't spend a lot of time in, garages, shop space etc. Requires a separate purchase of a 20 Amp Standard Power Pack for Occupancy Sensors for less than $30. Covers 360 degrees and 2,000 soft. The photocell prevents the light from going on while there is adequate natrual daylight available so during daylight hours it isn't contstanly on. The instructions seem a little complicated to me, but I won't know until I have time to install it after I order the power pack. I have the perfect location for this in our warehouse over the back door so when we come in through the back their will be light.

Warning this is not a line voltage motion controller. - meaning it operates on low voltage at 24 volts. You will need to purchase the power pack / controller / relay unit for this to function. Other than that this works great in a warehouse environment with high ceilings. These units should only be installed by a licensed electrician. Read and follow included instructions!

This Ceiling Mount Occupancy Motion Sensor is actually more grey than white. It is a hard wired, not battery unit. I had an electrician friend install it in my classic car garage on a 12'-0" ceiling and he said the installation was easy, but you need to have the low voltage available.You can adjust both the ultrasonic as well as infra red range and the time delay before the lights. Apparently it has some type of memory for establishing a pattern, but I am still learning the adjustments

This is a commercial unit. Direct wire , not wireless. You will need a 24 VDC OSP xx Series and CN100 power pack Class 11 low -voltage wiring. Not a big deal to wire in but for most people this will require a licensed electrician to install. This unit is over kill for an average house. I installed mine to cover a 2000 sq ft shop at the entry way. This Sensor continually analyzes the parameters of the motion detection signal and adjusts its operation to maximize detection of motion. Once learned the adjusted settings are saved in protected memory. This prevents a lot of false signals. Everything Levition makes is quality stuff, you may pay a little more for it but you will have way less problems over time. Clear instructions, easy to mount.

I purchased this to be able to wire a light outside for sensor motion. Please note this is a hard wired and not battery operated. Seems to be working well, Has a adjuster to be able to modify the ability to detect so you can lower or raise it to your settings you like. Has been working well and only adjusted once. Got tired of see the light go on due to the kitty cat.

This is a 24V sensor and does not actually switch any loads. It is usually wired to a 20A power pack which would switch the load, like the OPP20-D1, for example. Multiple sensors can be wired to a single power pack, or it can be used with just one sensor. Rather than relying on a single mode of detection, this sensor The Sensor continually analyzes the parameters of the motion detection signal and adjusts its internal operation to maximize detection of motion while minimizing the effects of noise (electrical noise, air currents, temperature changes, etc). Learned and adjusted settings are saved in protected memory. You can select the approximate area needed. Units from 500 to 2000 sq. ft. available Annoying false-offs are minimized and lights on at night is eliminated (A photocell prevents lights from turning on when the room is adequately lit by natural light).

This Leviton Ceiling Mounjt Occupancy Motion Sensor monitors a room up to 2,000 square feet. It has a number of features and settings, such as ambient light detection which prevents lights turning on when there is sufficient natural light present. It uses both infrared and ultrasonic sensors to detect small motion when the room is already occupied. It also has a walk-through setting that decreases the time delay to two-and-a-half minutes when someone momentarily walks through an area.
