Heavy duty hook holds wreath with ease

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to hang my quilt on a cafe rod but didn't want the location permanent so I decided to find a Command hook that would take the place of the rod brackets. A hook at each end of the rod works perfectly. The quilt has been in place for several months with no problems. The contrasting colors are nice; I am very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago and used it to hang a light sweater. After a week the clear plastic rear support broke (small clip piece) and in order to replace it I have to buy a whole new hook?

I always try to err on the side of caution, so I bought the large hook, even though the medium was rated to hold what I intended to use it for. The hook worked well for a while, and I was quite happy with it, because it provided an efficient solution. That is, until this weekend, when I found everything on the floor, including the hook with a piece of my wall attached. I would have been better off just drilling a hole in the wall, it would be easier to repair.

I've bought several command products but this was the first time I used it on a painted wall. The results weren't good! I've had the hook hanging for over a year (with nothing hanging from it). We're moving from our RENTAL and I went to take it down as it says to, pulling straight down. It stretch out then snapped, leaving me holding the end piece of adhesive. At that point there was nothing to grab on to to remove it. I just tried as gently as possible to loosen it and it eventually started to then the plastic piece and adhesive backing broke in half leaving the bottom half firmly hanging on. I used the same gentle method to remove the final piece and after 10 mins of doing so it finally came off with part of the wall!!

It is hanging a board with knobs on it for my bracelets and is perfect. Same color as my bathroom knobs and perfect on the wall because it gives the option of moving it around.

They hold well. We use them to hold towels on

The 5 Lb Command I bought works great. I was able to hang my Christmas wreath on it and it is still on there, it has not fallen down. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to hang anything 5 Lb and under, it works great.

Hook works great so far, attached to a tarp for holding one corner up, so far it’s fine.

Needed to hang some towels and they work great.

What a difference 2 pounds makes! I purchased the lighter gauge hooks of 3 and a light weight wreath continued to fall down. After placement of this hook it’s still hanging on the front door! Thanks!

Great product helps hold may items right were I need it.

I have been an a long time fan of these Command hooks as I have them throughout my home especially in the bathroom attached to my granite tile walls. However, this recent purchase, (although they look the same as the ones I have at home) are plastic covered in metal paint. They are not the actual metal ones like I bought several years ago. That’s very disappointing. I’m not sure if the manufacture has actually changed to a plastic base which is spray painted to look like stainless brush steel. Anyhow, something about following the instructions to clean a smooth bathroom, tile wall with alcohol and making sure it was ready to attach. The adhesive strips didn’t work as well as expected. Although I had less than 5 pounds on the hook; in a few days I had to reattach the hook with a new adhesive strip after cleaning again with alcohol on the tile. Not sure about quality for this product anymore. My older actual metal hooks by the same manufacture, have been holding up very well over at least 10 years. I guess like lots of other things. The quality is going down, but the price goes up. Sad.

It's plastic. I thought it would be made of a light metal. Plastic breaks easily. The product was $10 for a piece of plastic and sticky strips.

Don’t count it holding 5 pounds like the packaging indicates. I used it for a 5 pound or less frame and it didn’t stick and took some paint off the wall when it came tumbling down.

Would not stick even though I used 2 to hold up an item that weighed about 7-8 pounds.

We used these to hang a seasonal quilt for display, about 40 inches square. The hooks were long enough to hold the half inch dowel rod we put through the quilt loops and stand out far enough we could use round wood knobs as finials on the ends of the dowel and they don't rub the wall. The brushed nickel finish looks good without distracting from the quilt.
