This is a beautiful product, but because of the weight of the doors, a beast to install and definitely not a one-person installation. Our granddaughter bribed a couple of her friends with cookies to get the doors up to the second floor one at a time. As I mistakenly ordered a door unit taller than the shower enclosure, I extended the shower enclosure with a block cut from some PVC trim in order to mount the beam. This has caused the installation to take longer than would be normal. In addition, the doors being too heavy for me to move on my own, I had to wait for my son-in-law to visit for help hanging them. Installation instructions are excellent, with a full page dedicated to each step, and including well-drawn diagrams with clear text in good English. Having the small parts packaged as a "Skin Pack" in order of use helps with assembly, though removing the clear plastic from the cleat assemblies was a challenge. Also, I found the anchors for the wall jambs not the best for mounting to the Vikrell shower enclosure, as they turn on their own and have to be held with pliers when tightening the screws for the wall jambs. In hindsight, I would have preferred the doors with towel rails rather than handles, but otherwise I am very pleased with these doors.

Frameless Sliding Shower Door in Silver with Handle My install is a lot different from others because I used a fiberglass base that sticks out 3/4” further than the tile wall. That required me shimming the shower door to fit plumb. I read most of the reviews before getting this shower door. I can see why some felt it was more difficult to install than other conventional doors but it really isn't. What I found was that if you have never installed a door before, you will do better. The reason is that Kohler is bringing new technology to shower doors and that requires rethinking how they are installed. The fully by-passable glass panels makes installation easier and allows for adjusting them in place. The rails, how they are assembled and installed require that you read and fully understand the instructions. The instructions are weak when it comes to installation of the top corners. The doors are very heavy and hard to handle with bare hands. I recommend that at least two work together to hang the doors. Gloves with rubber palms will help as will suction cups to pick up and hold the doors. The blade handles are installed vertically using adhesive strips. The template included with the doors is fragile so be careful using them. There were some issues with the thin trim across the bottom and the center brace for the doors. These are needed to anchor the divider to the tub or shower. The trim alone is not enough, I drilled holes and installed screws to make it secure. Remember the old saying "you get what you pay for"? Well, with these doors you get your money's worth. These Levity Frameless doors are very well built and are absolutely gorgeous. Yes as some have stated, they are heavy and require two people to install but these are large doors. At 82 inches tall these doors allow one to showcase their beautiful shower. The instructions are well illustrated and I recommend thoroughly reading prior to installation. Twice! The key to a good install is making sure the header is close to level as possible and every step along the way is carefully reviewed. A little patience is paramount to a quality installation with these doors. I highly recommend these doors if they are in one's budget. The doors glide effortlessly and the glass is flawless. Simply amazing doors from a brand we know and trust.

My contractor installed and has extensive experience. He said it was the most difficult by far he'd ever installed. It took him about 3 hrs. Definitely a two man job as the doors are very heavy. That being said, I really like the look of it and it is what I'd hoped for in that respect. 3/8 inch glass looks and feels expensive. I love the antique bronze finish I chose to compliment the oil rubbed bronze fixtures.

Overall this is a good shower door and functions well. One of the few designs that is minimally obtrusive and accentuates the shower space. The assembly was easy to follow. Only drawbacks I had with the door is it would be nice if the cleancoat product was also applied on the outside of the door as when the doors are used in a shower with two shower heads, water will splash through the middle opening and onto at least one of the outside panel doors. The other drawback I had was one of the top corners of the door was not finished or polished well and looked deformed. But contacted the manufacturer and they were really great to work with to get a new panel ordered.

The doors look amazing in a shower and will definitely compliment your bathroom. The installation however, is a nightmare. This is not a weekend DIYer type job unless your profession is shower door installation. Had to have the doors professionally installed and even then still had to buy more hardware to get the fit right. You will definitely need help if you want to tackle this one without a professional.

Wow!!! Simply beautiful. I could not wait to start my bathroom remodel and i started to think to myself what the perfect fit would be. I fell in love with the door the second i opened the box, from the beautiful silver finish, the smooth rollers that accent the sliding door, the sturdy frame and crystal clear glass. It was my first time installing a shower door and it took me 3 hours to finish it. The instructions were very good.

Wow! That is all that I can say about these doors, I replaced the tub in one of my bathrooms with a shower base and was looking into my options for doors when I came across these and decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier, they give you that nice clean frameless look without having to have expensive custom shower doors built. Very easy to install, but the glass is extremely heavy so make sure you have a enough help when removing it from the box and installing it. Doors move freely and easily because I made sure that my walls were plumb and the shower base level prior to installing.

The shower door is very beautiful and works really good. The only problem we had was how heavy this is when it was delivered. I had to have it left in our garage and we ended up having to carry it upstairs to the bathroom we were using it in piece by piece. I didn't realize it was going to be that heavy. The installation was a little bit difficult as well and took a lot longer then I thought. The instructions were good but it just had a lot of steps involved in the installation of it. The price on this door when I looked at it, seems to be a little bit higher then what I would have thought as well. The shower door works really good now that we finally got it up. It is also very nice looking and easy to keep it clean. Overall I really like it and am very happy with it over the one we had originally in there.

My wife and I run a property company in western Pennsylvania. I'm the registered contractor of the outfit and head up our small work crew. We have a lot of bathroom renovation experience. We do a lot of remodeling of 3 bedroom/2 bathroom older homes. One of the ways to make a small en suite bathroom stand out is to replace the tub in it with a long shower base like this, which only takes up a bit more room. Putting a door like THIS on it, however, really takes it the remodeling job to the next level. This 3/8-inch glass. In most lower-priced shower doors, you don't get thicker than 1/4 in. So this is thicker than two of those doors together, and it shows. It is also extremely heavy, and so you'll only get one chance to get the installation right. Some tips for installation: if this is part of a remodel of an existing home, you absolutely have to check the threshold of the shower base for level before you put this in. In keeping with this, after you get the threshold in, you have to make absolutely sure the wall jambs are plumb. A digital level really helps in this, and will ensure the header stays absolutely level. If you pay close attention to that, the rest of the installation goes smoothly. If you don't, this door is, again, very heavy, and it will fight you every step of the way.

Excellent quality doors. Very solid build. Relatively straight forward installation for DYIer. Need a hand lifting glass as very heavy, solidly built. No leaks after 1st week. Definitely recommend.

These are some heavy duty doors. I had them delivered and the shipping company told me the package weight was 275 lbs. This weight makes installation a challenge. I usually work alone but with these I needed help to get them installed and adjusted correctly. The installation instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The rollers are smooth and quiet. I like that the doors pass one another. This makes it easier to clean the whole door. They have a modern style and are beautiful. They appear to be made of quality materials so I expect them to last me for a long time.

Have had nothing but problems. Now the roller assembly has broken away. I suspect that it is not heavy duty enough for the weight of the glass. Can't even find the part unless you want to buy the whole assembly... $80.00... come on kohler... build it right!

Seems overpriced. I can't see the glass price jumping that much from 74" 1/4 glass to 82" 3/8 glass. Leaks water from under the glass when water falls next to it.

This shower door was relatively easy to install. Because the doors are very heavy it takes two people to get them into place on the track and then adjust them to fit properly. The final look is superb!
