a very expensive and special toilet seat
Our toilet takes this seat. Which is hugely expensive. Home Depot had the seat in stock and was competively priced, although Kohler wants an arm and a leg for the things so the price is still outrageous, going on $200. We have had to replace it three times in a little over a year because it's made of very soft wood and scratches and dents. First time--we moved in and the paint was peeling off the seat. Second time--a contractor used it and scraped the finish off and dented it with something in his pocket or on his belt. Third time--a picture fell off the wall and gouged it. So: It's elegant and goes beautifully with the Revival fixtures in the powder room. It works for the purpose intended. It is easily damaged. And it's way overpriced! If you have Kohler Revival fixtures you can put some other seat on the toilet but this is the one that's designed to look good and it does. However, it sure isn't durable.

Nice sculptural design.
Had to replace our other toilet seat which cracked - and we are skinny people. The new one was easy to install, but has a very rigid fit, as did the first seat, and could be the reason for the cracking issue.
