Good product, easy to install, but design but can be better. The top rail flares out too much at top; more squarish would look better and allow for the frame to be installed nearer to the edge of the shower stall. Wall jambs need more depth for glass to slide into (depth can be less on the wall side), for better out of plumb tolerance and for less water leakage to outside. Packaging is very poor; had to return twice due to damage during shipment (lots scratches & broken glass due to not enough separation between the two glass doors); third one came undamaged. Lastly it looks more like aluminum than brushed nickel.

I chose this product over a Delta door because I liked the simple style of the handle bars and I didn't want to match the bars with other accessories in my small bathroom, making it look "busy" and complicated. This was a difficult install for a 3/4" out-of-plumb opening. The inside door sliding stabilizer just barely made over the track, so 3/4" off is probably the limit for out-of-plumb. There are only 3 options for adjusting the doors on the rollers. We ended up placing a spacer under the top rail to help with the ease of door slide and leveling. As far as design, the hanger brackets are small but can be seen peeking underneath the top track when you are facing the unit standing on the floor. A taller individual may not be able to see them, but they are right in my line of vision given the tub wall height and my 5'3" stance. With a 3 inch top rail, you would think they could be hidden from view somehow. And my inside door brackets each tilt toward center, possibly because of my out-of-plumb adjustment, but I can't get them to sit level with the rail edge. The "bright polished silver" handles have a rather a "brushed" finish, and do not match the other bright polished "chrome" fixtures in my bathroom. The Clean Coat technology may help with "ease of cleaning" but it does not repel general water spotting as I had hoped.

We recently purchased this shower door. This is an excellent shower door for a bathtub. Installation was easy. Just remember to read the instructions and take care to install the bottom frame and the glass doors the right side in.

It took some courage to special order this without seeing a display model, but, despite the fact that the shipping took 8 days, the unit looked just like the picture. The glass doors made the package a little heavy, and they had to be handled with care once they were out of the packaging. If you have installed shower doors before, this went together pretty much the same, although it took two people to read and understand the directions. Actually, the directions were very clear and really helped, because this is the first time I have installed glass shower doors like these. The directions show cutting the aluminum frame to fit with a hacksaw, but power tools, especially a 10 inch "chop saw" was a better choice to keep everything square. The unit has been operating for about a week now, and the shower/bathtub assembly meets all expectations.

We ordered this shower door as a replacement door for a guest bathroom. The order when through quickly and arrived at our local Home Depot on the scheduled delivery date. It was about a week total time. My husband did the install in one morning without any problems. The door is the nice clean sleek look that I was hoping for. They are sturdy and slide smoothly. Our old door came with the house and had gliders and rollers that falling out. I am very happy with the quality and look. It is not a $1500 custom glass door, but it is a 5 star door for the cost.

This is the second time that we have happily purchased and installed these bypass sliding bath and shower doors. I prefer them to other brands, because the design and quality are excellent. For example, they do not have that clear plastic vertical edge-sweep at the center edge that most other bypass doors have. It is not necessary and would only become moldy and require extra care, including removal, cleaning and re-installation. Because there is an overlap of the doors, we just use them so that the inner one is nearest the shower head, and we have no problem with spray sneaking through the center bypass opening. It's caught by the outer door. We keep a white plastic squeegee on a suction hook on the tub wall and easily clear the glass of droplets after each shower. I suppose we could put a rain repellent product on the glass to make cleaning even easier, but there is no need, since the glass is already pre-treated with a repellent at the factory. These doors dramatically increase the amount of light in the bathroom, as there is no longer a need for a shower curtain, which used to block the sunshine from the window and the ceiling fixture's light from the bathing area. Love these doors!

I had my contractor install this shower door in one of my rental units. Even my contractor commented several times that he was impressed with how solid the components were and how well designed the shower door is. IMO, worth every penny. I will always specify this shower door for my future rental renovation projects.

    Attractive, Well Designed Product
Enclosure is well designed, sturdy, and finishes are excellent. The installed unit blends well with the tub and does not look like a fits--all add-on unit. The doors open and close smoothly and seal nicely. Apparently the manufacturer dictates the retail price to all retailers so the unit may be somewhat overpriced. I found it necessary to add taller sideboards to my standard-sized miter box so as to ensure an accurate cut of the large irregularly shaped top horizontal beam. And I chose not to mark the hole location of fasteners for the two vertical side members as instructed but chose rather to place the members accurately and securely in place with duct-tape and then directly drill small pilot holes. On arrival the shipping carton showed signs of possible rough handling but due to superb and robust interior packaging by the manufacturer there were no signs of damage or even the threat of damage. I would definitely purchase this product again and would recommend that others with similar needs do the same.

Solid, elegant and easy to install
I bought this shower door online and picked it up from the nearest Home Depot and did not have any issues. The Nickel finish frame was very sturdy and the frame less clear glass sliding door gave a full view of the beautiful tiles behind. I thought of going with a smoked glass but that would have made the bathroom look a little smaller. The shower door was very easy to install. Of course I had to measure the top and bottom frame for the space and cut them, but apart from the cutting the installation was pretty smooth. The Nickel finish of the frame went along well with the rest of the Nickel accessories in the bathroom.

Expected a little more from a Kohler product...
The door was fairly easy to install, but we ended up putting a lot more silicone on than recommended since it was leaking under the bottom trackl. Don't really understand why they need the bottom edging on the door itself. Would be a much cleaner look without it!

    Like a new bathroom!
Ordered this on-line and had it shipped to store. That worked well and was very quick. This is a quality product with a good solid feel to it. I used it to replace a 25 year old aluminum/acrylic set on a 30 year old tub. Simply replacing the doors, adding some paint and a new light fixture makes for a cheap and dramatic bathroom renovation. If you are trying for a new look in your bathroom, this is a great way to make it happen without ripping everything out. Why rip out a sturdy cast iron tub when you can try this first? The doors are quality glass. I've had it installed for 6 months now and they look great. I simply squeegee them down after every use. I like that sold feel of the handles installed directly through the glass (see photo). The track works well. There are three holes on the door tops to allow different wheel placement. I had to use the far right version in order to level the doors. It is working well. This is not a privacy door. The "falling lines" add a nice designer touch, but do not provide good privacy. This should not be an issue but it should be kept in mind for your desired application. All hardware is provided in a shrink wrapped card stock. This is VERY helpful in finding the hardware needed. They also threw in a few extra screw hole covers. Finally, I found the instructions to be pretty good. The latest versions are mostly pictures. I went on Kohler's web site and got an older version which had more words. I recommend doing this and going slow with the installation. Measure three times, cut once. They do provide ample warnings about how you can get in trouble with measuring wrong. Heed their warnings.

Looks great, durable, and great Kohler service
I had my contractor install this as part of the bathroom remodel at a vacation property. I just have to say, this looks great (clean design) and it feels solid/durable. It slides on the track smoothly and the rubber stops do an excellent job of keeping it quiet once the door makes contact, even when you do close it a little too fast. Down side was missing parts. When my contractor opened up the box, he could not find the 4 brackets that hold the shower door up on the rollers. He noted that the package holding the rest of the other smaller pieces was in tact, so it must have never been included. Never the less, Kohler graciously sent my contractor a set via Fedex. My contractor did complained about how poorly protected the glass were and he was amazed that they had not break during the delivery. He also mentioned that he would charge $1000 for a door like this, so it was well worth it for me to buy the parts and have him install it. As a side note, Home Depot online customer service did try their best to get the parts out to me. But being squeezed on time, I decided it would be quicker if I went directly through Kohler. I truly appreciate the service that Kohler provided and would buy a Kohler again in the future.

    Looks great
I love it. I recently had my hall bath renovated and wanted the new wall tile to show through. These doors serve my purpose. Because the tile is porcelain and very hard, we went through several drill bits to install.

Terrible track system. Expected better from Kohler
So the doors are very very nice for the price. Very satisfied however the main issue is the inside guide for the inside door. I feel like they could have simplified the entire system by putting one of those brackets in the middle of track to hold the doors. This guide overtime will get very cruddy and yucky since its underneath the main lower track. It's hard to clean also. The other issue that I struggled on was trying to install the rollers on the same side as the holes that were drilled from factory while also placing the coated side inside the shower. Well after about 2 hrs of trying to figure this out and getting extremely frustrated I gave up. The doors were drilled on the wrong side from the factory as per my conversation with Kohler on 5/20. Waiting for a resolution. Definetely unacceptable.

    My Oasis!
After years of deciding what to do with my Master Bathroom, I found the Kohler Clear Glass ByPass doors. They are elegant! The greatest feature for me is that not only are they easy to clean...but they are whisper quite! Many shower doors seem flimsy and make a grinding noise. I definitely got what I expected from Kohler! From the lack of cursing and no missing phalanges from my contractor...it seems that installation was very easy!

    Great look in remodeled bath
We did a quick remodel of the main bath and wanted to add tub shower doors. The size of our tub gave us limited options, but found this satin nickel item from Kohler. Looks great, and the striped glass goes well with the new bead board we added. Glass cleans off easily with squeegee.

    Incorrectly Machined parts
We purchased this product on "special buy". I wonder now if the special buy was because this product should have been a manufactured reject. IF the parts had been machined correctly, this would be an excellent product. However, in the product we were sent, the side wall uprights were MANUFACTURED INCORRECTLY according to the diagram. We figured this out after only having everything drilled, siliconed and installed and were then unable to lower the doors anywhere near close enough to the bottom sill. The side uprights were supposed to be cut/machined in an "H" configuration with an additional notch to accommodate the bottom sill front lip so they sit on top of the bottom sill as well as flat against the tub ledge. After taking everything apart again and comparing all parts to the installation diagrams, we realized the manufacturing errors. This "H" configuration was not present on our uprights. There was a notch for the sill's front lip, but they were otherwise flat along the bottom. I don't know if there was a product reconfiguration at some point because the directions of how to cut the bottom sill are different in the direction packet in our product vs. what is stated on this home depot website when you download the installation guide. Regardless, the machining of the product we received would not have worked with either set of directions. Of course, we were attempting to install this on a Saturday when Kohler customer service is closed. This was the only free time we had to install these doors. My husband has many tools and machining experience. Instead of waiting to contact Kohler during business hours and wait more for replacement parts, We ended up making all kinds of cuts and notches in both the bottom sill and side uprights as well as drill new holes through our wall tile to make it work. We purchased these doors over a lesser know manufacturer because of the Kohler brand. I'm wishing now, we went with the other doors. Clearly Kohler has lost control of their quality control. Had this been manufactured correctly, it would have been a great product. Any homeowner without significant tools and skills would never have been able to install these doors as we received them.

These Kohler glass doors and framework are excellent. They are very heavy, thick and well made. They look fabulous installed on our new Kohler bathtub and freshly tiled surround. I couldn't be happier (unless I could have afforded completely frameless doors). We had them professionally installed so we could be assured our new tile would not be compromised. In fact, the same two tile installers put them in gladly as they also wanted to protect their fine work. The price is very affordable and well worth looking at them in comparison to others. I highly recommend this product. I do not have any pictures taken yet as we are just enjoying everything.

Kohler did a good job on this, but they didn’t quite think through the door handles. On the side of the shower there is no ability to open the door from the outside in order to turn on the shower. You have to use your finger nails and try to get the little handle washer to move the door. Seems odd.
