Beautiful sink but terrible quality.My husband and I are the only people using the sink. It has hairline cracks that started with a few and have expanded to many. The cracks turn black due to moisture that has permeated them.

We've had this sink less than 2 years, and the glaze is wearing off. Very disappointed. I have NOT used abrasive cleaners and it was professionally installed. I love the style, but the qulality is disappointing, especially for the price, $800 plus installation.

The Kohler Memoir sink is a "stately" addition to any bathroom. It was a perfect match for our hall 1/2 bath. The ceramic construction is well made and beautiful on this two piece pedestal. With its wide rim and decorative edging along the exterior makes it truly an eye catching piece. The double wall sink and pedestal base makes it easy to clean, nowhere to dirt to get trapped, however, it makes the sink a bit heavier. Tips: - The sink does require securing to a wall (for stability) so it is better to have this sink chosen in pre-construction so that proper wood support can be added in the wall before sheetrock. It can be installed as a renovation project, however some preparation should be made to properly anchor the sink to the wall. The wall won't need to support the weight of the sink but because of the narrow pedestal the weight of the sink, you would want to secure the sink on something more than just sheetrock. The sink comes with 3/8" lag screws that are intended to be threaded into wood studs. - You will need help to hoist the sink bowl and/or align the pedestal. - It's a lot easier to pre-install the faucet and sink drain. Once the sink is in position there is some room to work but tightening everything up can present somewhat of a challenge. Again, you will just need a helper to safely lift the sink into place. Pros: - Large sink bowl. Easy to fit your arm in if you needed. - Large spacious rim, plenty of room to set a tub of soap or toothbrush holder. - Beautiful easy to clean ceramic - Large built-in overflow drain Cons: - None other than it is heavy but that's really a "pro" since it mean great construction. We absolutely love this sink!

I recently purchased the Kohler Memoirs Pedestal sink in white stately design from my local Home Depot. Before buying, I read reviews about how some people were receiving their fireclay sinks with cracks. Since this is a special order from Home Depot, it is hard to inspect before buying but took a chance anyway. I'm happy to say that my sink arrived with no blemishes or cracks.The sink was relatively simple to install and adds a classic look to my bathroom remodel.

This sink has approximately 5.5" on either side of the basin. Generally, it is just as big as the vanity that we replaced - but taller and more leg room. Keep in mind how much space you have available in your bathroom because this item is large and square. The corners are "stately" or pointy and at approximately eye level with small children. It looks really cool though.

If you're looking at this sink, I hope you have seen it in person, as the photos do not do it justice. It's a modern classic piece that fits seamlessly into our very old house. The sink sides provide plenty of space for soap dishes, toothbrush holders, etc, and it simply looks majestic. My only complaint is that it was a good 8" taller, and 4" deeper, than the pedestal that was there before, and the additional height and depth pose a challenge for our young daughter to use it, even with a stool. But obviously she will grow into it! Home Depot and Kohler both provided exceptional follow-up service on an install issue as well (sink was shipped without hardware; replacements were received in a matter of days from both Kohler and Home Depot). Install was very easy, though be prepared to get a longer drain spout to accommodate the height.

Is anyone else mad about kohler changing the size of the pedestal sink being released in the new 150th anniversary colors peach blow and spring green? We have been in touch with Kohler representatives for more than 2 months who assured us that pedestal sink would be released in 24 inches. Now we find out that it was only released in 30 inches. Our entire bathroom remodel was put on hold since kolher did not honor their commitments. Anyone else?

Kohler has become junk. Not only has the sink developed hairline cracks but both the pedestal and sink are not plumb. I'm an engineer so I make no mistakes in my measurements and use of a level. The sink is cast so poorly that with the top surface level the drain hole is off by approximately 15 degrees from plumb. Similarly with the pedestal place on a level surface the top of the pedestal is substantially out of level with a 1/4" variance between the front and back of the top surface. All sorts of differential shimming and creative drain plumbing is thus required. What a lousy experience and not my first with Kohler's fall from grace. Avoid like the plague.

Easier to clean, ADA friendly and has not developed any crazing despite trains running by my loft and vibrating.

How discouraging. One of our beautiful Kohler Memoirs Stately 30" bathroom sinks has developed severe hairline cracking. When I questioned a plumber about this problem, he told me that the fireclay was not fired enough. Whether the sink is one month old, one year old, or ten years old, this is totally unacceptable.

I bought this pedestal sink when I renovated my upstairs bath in 1994. It’s now 2021 and I’m renovating once again. But I’m keeping the Kohler sink and faucet. They are still as beautiful as the day I put them in.

The sink design is beautiful and with the Kohler name, I expected that it would be a durable product. Unfortunately the warranty is only good for 1 year for a reason - 7 years after installation the glaze in the bowl has begun to crack. Not so pretty anymore. Now every time I look at my beautiful Kohler pedestal sink, I'm checking for new cracks. I'm up to 5 long cracks and the first sign of a 6th crack. WARNING - the company warranty is only a year because they don't want to be replacing their sinks every 5-10 years. Shame on you Kohler!

We loved the look and utility of these until the cracks started. Kohler knows about the cracks that every one of these will eventually develop and will do nothing about it except blame the installation, which is NOT the problem. One of ours developed them after about a year, the other took a few years, but it WILL happen. Stay away!!

It was broken. I had to reorder and that one was broken too. I ended up getting it from a different company.

Sink/Basin did not sit level on pedestal.

Never installed one before. It was a little different but I managed.

Stunning!!! We got this one for our half bath since we needed something not too big. I though I would miss having a cabinet and the storage but this pedestal sink is so elegant and timeless that I don't really care about the lack of storage. It was delivered in two separate boxes, very well packed, which give you a piece of mind with pricey items like this one. It has a shiny white finish that is very easy to clean. You have enough space around the vessel for soap and even lotion. We were going to install this ourselves but ended up needing some pipe work so we got our handyman to put it together but it looked fairly simple and quick to do. Overall, very pleased with this piece.

Our old first floor bathroom has just a sink and toilet. The old sink was a pedestal, but it was much smaller and had 4" center holes for the faucet. I wanted to install something nicer, so I chose this Kohler Memoirs sink. My first impression. Wow, this is big and heavy! I measured and it'll fit - good. I removed the old sink and while I was back there, I changed the drain/trap. I placed the sink in the corner and I noticed the size. It sure makes a statement. We have a cabinet on the floor (to hold extra paper and other things). I took the cabinet out, because it looked too small with the sink. The installation was a little tougher than I thought. I used toggle bolts to hold the sink to the wall vs putting lag bolts into the studs - the studs were in the wrong place. And trying to pick up the sink and place it on the pedestal was a bit awkward. The size and weight of the sink makes it a challenge to install. Once in place, everything went well. One thing to consider - something that I didn't: This is a very big sink and proportionally, everything in the room looks small. The mirror, paper holder and toilet. I'm going to be doing some upgrades to make everything look aesthetically good. Our new sink looks fantastic and I can't wait to finish upgrading the rest of the bathroom! I highly recommend this sink to anyone looking for a high end upgrade.

Very good looking sink, very classy. Several reviews have had issues with faucet holes being too large, the bowl being warped and the glazing cracking but mine had none of these issues. I did not realize how large the bowl was going to be but the pedestal supports it well and is not tippy at all after being properly secured to the back wall. I still would not lean on the edge, may not be the best with small children that like to hang. The flat back of the bowl allows for water depth with out having to put a lot of water into the bowl. Very classy looks, functions well, fairly easy to install, needs to be securely attached to the wall.

I am restoring a very old house. The previous owners had converted the formal dining room to a bathroom, and the formal living room to a bedroom, for an elderly parent. I see no need for a formal dinning room, and there being no other bathroom on the first floor, decided to keep it. I am installing high end fixtures, because the door will remain open. So, light from the window can get into the living room. I had already installed the Kohler Memoirs Stately Elongated Toilet, which I love (see my review), and was looking for a matching pedestal sink. I wanted a pedestal sink, with no longer any bedrooms on the first floor, I see no need for a cabinet, and I wanted to open up the entrance. It arrived on time, and extremely well packed. The plumbing was very easy to install. I had to cut open the wall to install a mounting board, and while open, I replaced the copper, with PEX (I normally use the blue for cold and red for hot, but I used white for both, and it is barely noticeable). Sealed the wall, and cover it in wainscot. I love that it is nearly 5" taller than my previous cabinet sink, and has just enough room on top to be useful, and not get cluttered.

Elegant is the best word to describe this sink. It is suppose to be scratch and chip resistant so know worries if you drop your electric razor in it. The white is an antique textured white with in my opinion is very attractive. To install this sink the drain and shutoff valves have to be in a specific place so they can’t be seen from the top for a cleaner look. You may have to get a plumber to do the plumbing if you don’t think you can do it yourself. Also you will have to do some sheetrock work after the plumbing is done. The directions show you how to mount the sink to the wall and the floor and show you wear to place the drain and shutoff valves. If you do it yourself you will need some plumbing experience. I love the look of this pedestal. Kohler, however, is having major quality control issues. These issues are not related to Home Depot. In fact Home Depot has been great in the resolve. My first sink arrived broke, the second was fine but the fit between the sink and pedestal was uneven due to poor manufactoring and lack of quality control. I corrected this by using silicone to even things out. I also purchased the matching toilet and it was flawed in the bowl. The coating was peeling. Again not a Home Depot problem but a problem with Kohler's buisness model.

the sink arrived broken, a huge chunk was broken off the corner of the sink. It is unusable and has to be returned. It slowed up my bathroom remodel because I have to order a new sink.

We bought the sink because of the name and design we wanted. We had read other reviews which stated defective finishes but ignored which was an error as we had the same issues. The sink bowl had four different colors in the white. We had to return it and wont bother exchanging it for a new one, we will buy a different brand.

we live in the middle of nowhere and it arrived a day early. The tracking was VERY helpful.

This is the 30" wide model. Be careful you order the right width and color. The 30" is more expensive, but was perfect for this situation. We didn't have enough room for a big vanity, but we wanted a luxurious French provincial look. Lots of room on the sink to put the soap holder, tooth-brush holder, etc. We love how the sink looks in the room.

This sink is a beautiful as the picture. However, be AWARE of shipping. The first sink arrived in approximately 100 pieces. The quality of the sink is just what you expect from Kohler. The sink in combination with the toilet makes for a very attractive bath.
