We liked how it worked until it began leaking through the cable box at the bottom. I called Kohler and was told it only has 1 year warrantee. Apparently it leaks through the drain elbow into the cable box that activates the pop up drain. It won't be an easy fix, as I have to open the ceiling below and try to reach up to disconnect the overflow, then install new. I am now leery, and thinking of using the toe-tap style, which will be more awkward to operate, but won't leak through the cable box.

I bought this for my Kohler bath install. I had to special order it online as it was shown as the compatible unit for the Kohler bath in stock at Home Depot. After my plumber had installed the bath and drain upon final testing it immediately leaked where the cable enters the drain end. He believes it to be a manufacturer defect. I had to pay him to cut the pipe in half to remove and then fit a regular generic drain instead due to the time frame. I am nervous Home Depot will not take this back as its now in two pieces? but its defective regardless. Be cautious buying this unit, i would certainly not be able to recommend it.

The bottom portion leaks when water flows thru. I bought 2 of these and the same thing happened with both so I went with a proFlo drain system instead

I mean why would anyone buy an off brand once you decided to go Koehler on a tub?! I of course wish it was little less expensive but I sure understand the value here.

For over 40 years we have only remodeled with Kohler sinks, tubs, valves, and faucets. They stood behind every product 100%. We even took a trip to Kohler Wisconsin and stayed in the Mansion. Love the company and enjoyed the city.

I was able to install the product and it looks great -- and then when the tub is turned on it leaks through the lower cable assembly. So I'm out the money on the drain, need to find a replacement, and my tub won't be usable when expected.

I installed a Kohler tub and this was the recommended drain pipe. It must be defective from the factory as it's leaking from the lower cable assembly only when the tub is draining.

Installed on tub prior to setting tub. Ran water through it and it was leaking from the spot where the cable enters the lower assembly. Have to remove tub and remove this piece of junk. Very frustrated how much time replacing this will cost me.

Worked well with our tub. Looks great. Easy to install. I'm only concerned the set screw is missing and I'm having trouble getting another. I already installed most of it and now I'm stuck without the missing part. Currently, I'm waiting for a response from Kohler placed 2 days ago.

Working on our bathroom remodel and needed this particular part. Found it here at a reasonable price with quick delivery, most other sites had long lead time. Came in as advertised and on time.

Very high quality, fit my Kohler Elmbrook tub perfectly. Install was also very easy, highly recommend this one over the cheaper drain kits as they use schedule 40 thick walled drain pipe instead of the thin wall stuff. Also, like the robustness of the twist mechanism over the push in one. Feel safe putting it behind a difficult to access wall.

The quality was well worth the money. My contractor said he'd never seen this available anywhere before. I ordered it on line as suggested to go with my new Kohler bath tub. It looks great too and you turn the dial to open or close the drain. Nice design. Peace of mind in knowing I won't be calling a plumber anytime soon!

While well design and sturdy, not that easy to install in standard tub with drain near to wall. Top overflow connection nut is difficult tighten due to cable position. Cable length maybe excessive for short drain stubs.

This product looks good. However, my super said Manhattan building doesn't allow PVC tubes. Couldn't return it because the contractor has put glue on it. Very sad.

Great quality and different than the same old cheap pot metal drains we grew up using! Looks and works great!

This is an elegant product, with functional design. Installation is fairly simple. Two draw backs: the cable makes installation awkward as it puts stress on the drain and over flow fittings. For easiest install remove the cable. The biggest draw back comes when/if you plan on testing the plumbing for inspection. The cable design makes standard test plugs unusable, and Kohler does not provide a Test Kit for this product. Your plumber will need to get creative in order to perform a standing water test for inspection.
