Purchased this sink 15 years ago along with other Memoir fixtures for 3 bathrooms. 5 years ago fine lines developed in the glaze of this sink and it now looks terrible! (Other fixtures still look brand new) In researching a replacement, saw others have the exact same complaint! There seems to be an issue with the glazing that was used. Disappointed and hesitant to buy a replacement from Kohler as this seems to be a manufacturing issue. Kohler, has this been addressed???

This Memoirs sink has been my choice for two homes since 1998 - I just wanted to replace the second basin because the pedestal is fine but the porcelain had worn off around the drain. It's great that Kohler keeps this basin in production so the pedestal can be reused. The mounting holes were off by about 1/8" so it was necessary to shim one of the holes in the wall so the mounting bolts would tighten up enough to make the basin fit nice and tight. After 2 weeks, however, after cleaning the sink with a spray cleaner (not harsh cleanser) and wiping it out with a dark-colored towel I noticed an approx. 6" butterfly-shaped flaw in the finish as the towel fibers clung to a raised area - I don't know if this is a crack or simply a flaw in the finish so I have reached out to Kohler for warranty information.

The sink is absolutely beautiful, the only concern is that the quality is not there, I had it for some years and after sometime it started to show some crackling all over and for what I read, I wasn't the only one and it became horrible looking, I always took good care of it never mistreated it. Thank god Kohler is a reputable company, stood by their product and decided to replace it. I only hope it doesn't crack again, their products are supposed to last forever or so I thought so. I love the look of memoirs line. Home Depot was great helping me with the order. Thank you.

I love the sink but it has developed cracks over the years which I wouldn't expect of a Kohler brand product.

Love our Koehler pedestal sink!

After buying this unit in a few years it started to crack, however we like the style, it is beautiful.

I own two of these Memoirs sinks and both developed these cracks within a few years of installation. I came here looking for replacements and see I'm not the only one!

Love the shape and the single hole for modern single faucet

While the style on this sink is great for my craftsman home, it has not held up well. It is full of chips and cracks after a few years of use. I have a small medicine cabinet above the sink. Sure, sometimes we drop things, but the hardest thing we've dropped is a bottle of fingernail polish. There are chips and cracks all over the sink. Be sure to return the sink to Kohler before the one year warrantee is up if you get the slightest crack.

Looking at this to replace same with hairline cracks. There are many comments on hairline cracks on this product here and on other websites. Surprised Kohler doesn't provide reimbursement or credit after warrenty expired. Mine was professionally installed.

I ordered this sink as a replacement for the same one that had developed cracks around the drain. After attaching all the hardware, the drain wouldn’t sit flush with the bottom of the sink bowl, creating a gap that plumbers putty couldn’t fill. It leaked. And, the front of the sink was concave, indicating it was deformed during the cooling phase after it was fired. Kohler was great and sent a second at no cost. I was able to successfully install the second one, but had to drill out the two holes in the sink itself where the hanger bolts go through to the wall as the holes in the sink were centered at 19 1/4” instead of 19” (which the hanger bolts are set to and which the 2 previous sinks fit perfectly). Pain in the neck, and not good marks for Kohler’s quality control (the first replacement sink should have never left the factory). Customer Service was excellent, and now that it is finally installed and leak free, I love the sink.

I had to replace the sink do to crackling in the finish over time. Nothing terrible, it just didn't look perfect anymore. I purchased the house 20 years ago, so the sink was at least that old. I guess it held up pretty well!

Excellent sink with classic appearance.

Theres a small spot that wasn't fully glazed by the drain, so thats a disappointment.

It was a pleasure dealing with the salesman who ordered the sink for us. It was also great service when I picked up the sink.

we rate this resolve 5 stars cause after all the time( months) and e-mails and txts... KOHLER did good by us and we really appreciate it and now we can continue trusting the Kohler brand ... thank you to all the persons involved.

Beware: The color “white” is no longer truly white. This product has lost it’s respect for excellence. So if mediocre is ok, it is functional. But it won’t match your other “white” items.

Perfect replacement for one that was broke accidentally while installating. Pickup was super easy at my local Home Depot.

It was a brighter white than the memoir sink I replaced but still looks good with the older pedestal bottom.

This sink arrived by FedEx much sooner than I expected. It replaced the same model Kohler top which I installed in 2007 but had some surface cracks over the years and the old pedestal fit it perfectly. Because HD sold the top only without buying a new pedestal stand, this saved money.

It is a very good product.
