Nice and tall, but not perfect
First, this was the tallest shower slidebar we could find, so we were happy to buy it. But, first of all it's not matte black but a very dark brushed gray. Also, the tilting mechanism for the hand-held shower doesn't pivot up or down very much so it's hard to point the flow of water at much of an angle (i.e. you can't point the shower straight down if you want - at least not with the Kohler showerhead we ordered with it). I must say Kohler has EXCELLENT customer service, so worth the cost if you can afford it.

please sell small parts
Unfortunately I was not able to buy just the adjuster piece, I had to buy the entire slidebar. Works as expected, but created excess waste as all I needed was the adjuster.

My Momma has a bright and shiny like new bathroom
Thank you to Jennifer Ondrako for her help and attention to detail. My Momma has lived in her home for thirty years and her fixtures needed replacing. She now has a bright and shiny new look to her bathroom that is easier to manage at her 83 years young age.

Poorly made. Poor quality.
The shower head is cast metal with a plating. It started coming off in less than five years.

This slide bar does actually tilt!
I read these reviews and was really bummed when my matte black slide bar arrived...it is indeed a dark grey metallic finish. But color ended up working w my black metallic tile. But the bar DOES tilt! It's really stiff and no mention on any of the websites or the packaging...nor even by the Kohler rep who answered previous messages on this board. It was a tremendous relief to learn. I almost sent it back. Glad my contractor accidentally figured it out. Just put the shower head into the holder and use leverage to twist 45 degrees.

New Shower system

Whoever heard of a slidebar that doesn't allow the showerhead to tilt down??
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My contractor installed one of these in each shower. I had assumed that one could use the shower head attached to it like a regular shower, i.e. stand underneath it. No! There is no angle fitting. Ugh. What a terrible design. Am going to have to replace. Ridiculous.

The handshower bracket/cradle on this shower slidebar is designed to tilt back and forth and swivel left-to-right. Change finish code
Purchased all fixtures in Matt Black, I was certain this item was returned and someone placed wrong slide bar in box. Nope second one came in same finish ..This looks like a titanium shiny silver/blk finish .. Why would you have the same color code .. ? Definetly not close to a Matt Black finish ..

Misleading Finish
I purchased a whole set of 5 Purist Shower pieces, all in Matte Black. When they arrived, everything matched EXCEPT the slidebar, it was in a glossy black. I spoke with Kohler and they said that is intentional. That even though it is "matte black" the one slidebar has a different finish. I figured someone should say something before anyone else makes the same mistake I did.
