Man I’ve cleaned over a hundred drains with this Ridgid K 400 I’ve changed the cable once in 20 years. Only due to my neglect. It sat unused on a roof and forgotten for over 2 years and today I found it and brought it down. Wheeled it to my shop, plugged it in, and it ran like new. Sprayed some wd40 on it and the cable and will need to get a new belt BUT it works great. Ridgid is the best.

My Ridgid K400 has always came through for me in many scenarios! Love this small , but strong, drain cleaning machine! Great quality and reliability!

Recently started my own small plumbing company. This is the first sewer machine I've had and while it may be small compared to others, it's perfect for most of what I do (residential). I love how it's compact and folds down to make it even smaller. The room it takes to pack in and have all tools and materials for jobs is precious.... And no room can be wasted! Plan on getting the auto feed attachment for it soon. Thanks Ridgid!

I have a Milwaukee Air Snake that I have been using for a few years. Love it but it can’t unclog those corroded steel pipes I have. I decided to put the money for this machine. Very easy to use and comes with various bits. 75’ long snake that is a joy to use. Seriously. This thing is quiet and easy. I used it to unclog a drain pipe going to the washing machine. I tried the clean out but the clog was higher so I went right from the washing machine drain. I used a camera to look in and saw water still in so put the Ridgid to use. It went around sharp corners with little effort. Winding up was just as easy with reverse on. I’m sold on this. I’m not a plumber but have installed PEX through a couple of houses. I wish I would have got this many years ago.

I’ve only used it once so far. Easy to use, trees are notorious in our area. Cleaned the drain myself, saved paying roto rooter $$$ for the last time!! I’m glad I didn’t buy the auto feed, watched multiple videos and they suggested the manual one, you can feel the blockage with your hand! Also like the 1/2” cable, no kinks!!

The first machine I bought was great along with the second and third last year they change the design in the drum terrible I bought another one a week ago they change the cable now and it broke the third job and it did not get stuck at all

Switch and bait... paid for the new auto feeder. Listed and pictured in this. Got the old cheaper horrible feeder instead

We just bought this sorry excuse for a tool about a month ago and within the first 15 min the front hose broke off and then the barrel cracked and that makes it off balance so it binded up. After that the belt started slipping so much it woukdnt even turn to feed the cable with no load. By the way the feed part didnt work either. It bent up and metal shavings have been coming off the parts. All around in the overall quality and satisfaction of buying this and using it i believe we got ripped off and would been better off paying some guy off craigslist to do the job we had. We only used this thing 3 times now and its practically unusable.

I bought this machine at my local Home Depot and next day I used it for the first time. I read the instructions and operated it without problem. However, when I was retrieving the cable back, it suddenly get stuck. After I managed to get the cable out I found it's somehow broken! The inner wire is fine but a small part of the cover coat fell off. I have took some pictures and you will see what I mean! I am really disappointed! There is a label on the package box saying the product may not be returned to the store is opened or used! I called the customer service and the guy said cable is wearable item and may not be covered for warranty! Oh really, I spent a couple hundred dollars and the junk cable just broke for the first time of use?! The email response from customer rep just give me link to find service center and repair request form! Why I can't return for a refund?! At least the company should send me a quality replacement and pick up the defective machine!

We keep 1 on each truck and have upgraded to the 100' it takes up less space then the k60 in our trucks. It gets 96% of our stoppages cleared, we save on fuel and space due to its compact size and weight. You will not go wrong with this, trust us,or we will buy it off you if you're not happy! How's that for our belief in the product.

A little heavy for some folks, but it compensates by having wheels and a retractable handle. Smooth in operation, very comfortable to use.

I got this machine K 400 about a month ago. Used it today for the first time and it works well. Great for smaller jobs. It gets the job done

I got tired of paying a plumber for a simple cleaning to the main drain to the street. This machine is as good as the plumbers. I don't have the auto feed. Don't need it, super easy to use.

Just big enough for minor Commercial jobs. Perfect for residential. Low cost.

I hem hawwd around between this and a china machine. I paid near double the price of the china machine. I finally decided on ridgid because it’s American made and the lifetime warranty. It kind of sucked at first, when I opened box all the loose parts were scattered and not bagged. I ended up at the hardware store to purchase a missing retainer clip for wheel. After that everything went well. The machine did just what it’s suppose to do. I believe a lot of the problems people have are from inexperience and getting in a hurry. I fed the snake down drain by hand (without machine running) until I felt resistance and then turn it on. As I felt it cutting thru clog I pulled back on cable just a bit to make sure it’s not gettting stuck in pipe. Take your time and let the machine do the work. I bought the machine with 1/2” cable and only plan on using it in main line drain. I would have gave it 5 stars if the piece wasn’t missing and also the attachments seem a bit wobbly when attached to cable, as if they’re a bit oversized. All in all, so far, so good!

The pressure sensor in the foot pedal is pretty cheap, so it almost requires two people to run the machine. One to push the pedal and one to run the snake. Once operating it worked well on the 50ft of 3inch drain I needed snaked.

You can only assemble and use the product, if you receive the delivery. Even after almost one month no show. ??to Home Depot. Zero stars .

Worked like a charm. Much easier than a hand held auger. Also, Easy to store in shred.

I have ordered this product 5 times and have had to return 4 of them. The fifth one has not arrived and am currently trying to get a refund. They have all arrived bent and/or with missing pieces. I'm sure the snake auger is great, but I haven’t had a chance to use it since I’ve returned all 4 previous orders. The snake auger is heavy and the frame must be getting bent in transit to my house. I’m not sure why it is arriving with missing parts, tho.

Pump stop to work from the second day. I try to reach on to Home Depot store but it was really difficult because it was bought buy online Do not recommend to buy snake machine by online

Ridgid drain cleaner

I used this machine 5-6 times and it broke. Called their customer service and they said we will email you. Waited for 6 days and they emailed that there is no warranty.

I have not used it yet, but one of my guys says it doesn't seem to drive the cable forward as well as the old one did. Someone decided they needed our old one more than we did, so they took it. Hence, we get the new one that works, but not like the old one.

i bought this 4 years ago. it has served me well and is easy to get to the job.
