This was great for holding my 15lbs worth of stuff (checked the weight) in my bathroom until it suddenly fell. I only put them up two weeks ago! Upon inspecting the wall anchor, it appears that it completely melted when I drilled the screw in. I was careful not to over-drill (the screw head looks totally fine, no signs of stripping) but the actor had shrunk and melted around the head of the screw. So disappointing given the reviews, and have been trying to get in touch with Home Depot customer service but it's impossible. Huge bummer. Have attached photos for reference, and hoping someone reaches out to me regarding the defective anchor.

These brackets worked well with my 12" x 3.5" vanity shelf. They hold strong and install with only one screw. The color is a deep grey with a metallic shine.

I bought a glass shelf at The Home Depot that had similar shelf supports with it but they were painted grey and this shelf was installed in a powder room between the sink and the mirror. These supports, being finished in chrome, matched the faucet and powder room accessories. The finish is reasonably good but I wouldn't call it a 5-star finish. Still, no big deal since the major issue was a match for other chrome items. The wall anchors provided with supports are the kind that don't have a lip to prevent the anchor from going into the drywall cavity as you screw the screws into them. I had to replace them with other anchors from The Home Depot (Store SKU #892428 ). This was a minor issue for me since I had a couple of anchors on hand from another job. The final shelf installation seems quite stable and these supports, rated at 33 lbs., provide more than adequate support for a candle and soap dispenser. Oh yeah, you don't need to disassemble the support to install a screw that anchors it to the drywall. Just loosen the bottom screw that provides clamping action to the glass shelf and feed the screw through the slot in the upper section. The tools required are a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 1/4 inch drill bit and drill if you are anchoring into drywall.

I love these, and they are easy to install. They are really low profile and sturdy. I have them in both anthracite and white.

NEW Shower INstall !!!. These Brackets are EXCELLENT !! What a buy. YOU GET TWO(2), UNlike others, ya only get ONE(1). Wife is very happy. Point.: Our NEW Shelves are 3/16" thick. Many on the Market are 1/4" MINIMUM. We chose these(thx to H/D we had a couple choices), but didn't care for the "square-look-ones"....but that's OK. GRIPS/HOLDS well in the early stages. ONLY downfall, to which I WILL NOT lower my STAR Rating, the Wall Anchors supplied wasn't suffice. I installed Durock Walls, and had to REplace with a little larger diameter for "better" strength in holding weights of BIG bottles....but, that's OK !!! Well done H/D. Lastly, MATCHES our NEW Shower Shelves we received with Shower Kit....a COMPLETE "Family" MATCH !!! Looks goooood, don't it, UH-HUH, UH-HUH ?!!? Whata UPgrade.

Installed in our tile shower stall with no existing shelves. This required drilling holes, but so much more secure than suction or adhesive shelves, easier than a porcilen shelf and better looking than plastic stacking or pole units. This complimented our bathroom perfectly and holds a lot of weight!

I purchased these to hang some large 36" X 7" floating glass shelves between 2 kitchen cabinets over my sink. The only issue I notice, as others have mentioned, is if you need to use a wall anchor to secure these, buy a nicer product. I used the heavy duty 65 lb screw in anchors, as I was only able to hit 1 stud. They look great, fairly easy to install. Glass seems very secure. I used a 1/4 inch glass and the fit is safely snug and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
