Door came in exactly as ordered. The door latch-bolt and strike cutouts appeared to be mis-aligned even though the door was installed square, plumb and level. For anyone wondering, even though it comes with the most basic and ugly looking door stop, contrary to what the manufacturer or even HD will tell you, you can easily remove the door stop and install your own nicer looking one. It was not glued down, only stapled so it was quite easy to remove. Just trace it's position before you remove it of course. Also, upside is I installed wood screws to secure the door through the door stop so I just sunk them slightly past the door jamb surface so now the knew door stop covers up the six screws I used. I know all this because I asked a question on this page and the manufacturer couldn't answer the question and directed me to call HD customer service representative who knew even less. Also, contrary to one review that was yelling at people who do not know how to install doors, this door did not come with the three "long" screws that you would put in each of the three hinges, in the middle as replacement for stock ones. Even the manufacturers instructions on-line allude to a 3" long hinge screw that you install at the end.

Good material and expensive but it is solid core. I could have used a hollow core that is cheaper, but couldn’t get it in this size. Also it needed to have an 1/8” wider top case frame to keep the door from dragging. I had to pull it out an 1/8”.

This is a well made door and frame that works perfect. I am very happy with it.

Went to have the doors installed by a professional and could not install. The doors are such poor quality and not manufactured correctly. I can’t believe they would even have them sent out to me. So disappointed. I have to return and wait another month for new doors. A waste of time for me and my contractor.

I had problems with the hinges. They were not properly screwed into the door causing the door to be out of plum. Once I figured out that the hinges needed to be secured the door fit just fine.

Overall decent doors, especially for the price. Since these were my first door install, I wish they came with instructions on how to install and how to remove the plastic part holding the door to the frame. Seems pretty easy to include a piece of paper show that. I didn't get the hardware color I ordered, but figure the guy at home depot entered the wrong info. I also think the hinges look like they were manufactured incorrectly - it looks like they were crushed onto eachother, but they work fine.

All these bad reviews are all from amateur “DIY” guys ...... I can tell by the way there talking, one guys saying it’s junk composite material (Nooo its MDF!!!) which is used on doors because it doesn not absorb moisture and does not twist and bend like real wood can. Also of course these doors have to be sanded, They only come PRIMED!!! So whatever sanding has to be done after the installer is done is very common. Then in a PROFESSIONAL WORLD, the painter would fill any holes or imperfections and prep it to paint. Also the holes for the strike plate shouldn’t be pre drilled just incase you have to move it up or down incase of a severe out of level wall......Also the screws come just hand tight because you have to pop the pins to remove slab, and when you put the slab back into the opening (by separating hinges ONLY!!!) you want those screws loose so you have movement to line up each huge and put the pin in. Once that’s done you can tighten for a final time. And if there’s a screw missing it’s because they left it out for a larger screw to go in and it probably came in a little baggie with the door but Amateurs don’t know these things!!!! So don’t try to make a product look bad when the reality of it is, guys like you have no business installing doors or trying to act like you know what it’s like to be a real Carpenter or Contractor!!! One more thing just because the door is solid does NOT MEAN ITS SOUND PROOF!!!! You better check your insulation and Sheetrock if you want to damper sounds!!!! Jeld-Wen is one of the best, DOORS IS WHAT THEY DO!!! So leave it to the professionals, you don’t wanna go back to white color world on Monday with a splinter!!!! How will you be able to use your white-out!!!!.....LOL THANK YOU JELD WEN FOR MAKIN A GREAT PRODUCT FOR PROFESSIONALS LIKE ME. This door was a headache from the start. The two biggest issues were 1 - The top hinge was too lose and caused the screws to pull and strip the holes. I had to do a lot of repairs in order for this to even close. 2 - I paid extra money for the Solid Core vs Hollow and the sound transmission has not improved from my previous (hollow core) door. It arrived with dings/dents and needed to be sanded. One of the holes was not drilled for the hinge/did not come with a screw. There were no holes drilled for the plate of the door knob. The appearance of the door looks nice now that all of the repairs have been done. But I would still suggest choosing a different brand to avoid all the work and time needed. I also don't expect this door to last long and am expecting to see more issues as time goes on due to the quality.

Great door, very heavy and solid. A few dings and bangs from shipping, but nothing a little compound couldn't fix. A great look and happy with it.

I bought this door along with four others. Jeld-Wen should be embarrassed to sell product this bad. There were several issues on these doors that required many hours of time to repair. They don’t allow enough space to list all the issues, but I will never buy another product from this brand again.

This door has held up over the few past years that we have had it. It’s pretty and well-made. Only thing I did not like about this store is we bought the painted door even wait. I wish they would have but the primed door and paint it ourselves, because the white color that comes in is a weird wait, kind of bluish gray. It does not blend in with our white bear paint trim.

The door had to be sanded because of damage to it. Not the first time we've bought Jeld Wen doors and have had damage to them. Disappointing!

Top hinge had too much sag, which put the door off level. Mortising was not very precise, which caused the door to be uneven with the jamb. Generally, I find jeld-wen doors to be hit and miss. You can work around them most of the time, but if you want a nice, clean-hung door, jeld-wen is not for you

Ordered 4 doors and they all arrived damaged. You would not cross ship news ones, so I had to place an order for 4 more doors.

Ordered 4 doors and all 4 came severely damaged, one door the left side of the frame entirely ripped off.

All I needed was some shims and screws. Easy to install
