I ordered right-hand 36" door to be shipped to local store. During installation, I had trouble getting the door to correctly seat in the pre-hung frame while shimming the door. Upon further inspection, the found the bottom hinge was not even seated in the mortise cutout in the door. I had to remove the door and the hinge, re-trim the mortise and reset a longer screw in the top hole in the hinge. It appeared who ever tried to screw this hinge on at the factory ultimately stripped the screw hole. I did mark the door as I would by again, but only because 1) options are few with this style of door and 2) others had positive remarks.

Jeld Wen is not a high end, nor even a middle of the road door. I ordered the doors painted. Upon arrival, the paint job was poor and there were large holes drilled in the top and underneath of the door which I assume were to hang the door for painting; the holes were not filled in and painted. We sent them back to get just the primed door. After receiving the primed doors, we stored them in the garage in the original shipping cardboard until our painting contractor took them to be painted and installed.. As they were stored in the original cardboard, we never were able to inspect the edges. After they were installed, we noticed that the vertical edge on the door knob side of all the 4 doors, was very rough and splintery. Jeld Wen never took the time to sand down the rough edge. Shoddy workmanship.

This is a pretty standard MDF door. The finish on the door is pretty nice, but the edges are not finished and neither is the frame. The biggest complaint is the size of the upper and lower panels. The location of the lockset hole looks odd as it doesn't line up between the panel separation (see pictures). This is on the 24 inch door. I'm not sure if the other sizes have different panel sizes. Other than that, no issues at all.

Replaced same design pantry hollow core door with solid core. Now storage baskets can be installed on inside of pantry door. When Mom is happy, everybody is happy.

HD sucks and I will not shop there anymore!!!

if we'd bought the doors primed this would be an excellent review. but we bought them pre-painted "brilliant white"...which is actually dingy gray compared to the primed door frame. and the pictures online showed a wood grain texture, but the doors are actually smooth. well, except for the "orange peel" texture from the paint. so skip the paint and do that yourself.

if we'd bought just a primed door, this review would be excellent. unfortunately we opted for "brilliant white" to save some time and effort. the door was painted dingy gray compared to the primed frame. and it only looked worse after we painted the door frame semi-gloss white. so we spent close to $100 for a paint job that I'll have to cover up. Also, the picture online showed a wood grain texture even though the door was MDF. In fact, the door had no texture whatsoever until the paint was applied with an "orange peel" finish. So I'd buy the door just primed...skip the paint job.

Bought these on a 40% sale. The solid core door is nice, the moldings are well made. But the door jambs are thin, weak, and poor quality. I purchased 5 doors, and had to alter 4 of the jambs as they were off 1/4 to 5/8 of an inch. If you get a good deal on these, and can handle reforming the jambs, these might be ok. Otherwise I'd buy another product.

Very good quality doors and two panel design is very nice elegant. We really like these new doors in our home. They are heavy solid doors. We had them installed so not sure about ease of installation. Got them for a very good price at a labor day discount sale.

Product is great. Was exactly what I thought I was ordering.

Awesome doors. I would highly recommend going with the pre-hung version as we did. It save so much time in installation, and looks/performs much better when replacing the entire frame.
