I bought this door about 6 months ago, a handyman installed it. Yesterday it fell on my daughter's head. The pivots are held in place with hollow plastic dowels. the bottom dowel pushed up into the hollow core of the door, allowing the door to fall out of the frame. We were unhappy - cried - ow! I ordered metal top and bottom pivots with t-shaped dowels that attach to the door, hopefully this fixes the problem.

Overall quality is good for the price. These doors are not going to stand up any abuse, but treated with respect will work for many people. Having said that, there is no excuse for a common JELD=WEN Bi-fold issue - poorly aligned pin holes. See the photo.

I ordered a 32 x 80 door, I will admit after I ordered I didn't think about the door much until it came in and the box stated "36 x 80 5/8 finished" so I thought I ordered a 36" but no big deal. The doorway that it was to be installed in was already a 35in opening so we went to work blowing out an extra 2 inches to put in the new frame for a finished 36 x 80 5/8 door. Well guess what... the door itself is a 32 x 80 finished door! The door itself is fine but the fact that the UNOPENED box says its a finished door size of 36 NOT 32 (4 inches of difference) I am rather unhappy with this purchase.

The closets in my kids rooms were five feet wide with twenty four inch doors which wasted a lot of space. We added a pair of these bi fold doors to each room and it really helped. The doors were easy to install after widening the opening and they blend in perfectly. For the money, I will be happy if these last five years.

Top track was bent in numerous places. Door was poorly painted. Returned door to Home Depot and reordered a replacement. Hopefully it gets here in good condition.

These are cheaply made and don't last, they barely survive being installed. Normally these doors are $50, it seems someone is getting a bit greedy and raising prices on a cheap product.

Installation was simple and the quality met my expectations.

The bi-fold doors took 6 weeks to arrive but I was aware of that unfortunate fact. My opening was exactly 80 inches tall. The online Home Depot descriptors indicated 80 inches was the low end of acceptable. The box and information on the Jeld Wen site said 80 5/8 inch was required. That was fun to find out 6 wks later. So I was ready to trim and HD ad said safely trim up to 3/4 inch from bottom. Jeld Wen said “untrue” only 1/4 inch could be trimmed. The bottom core is only 7/8 inches. I saw other reviewers complain about this but no change in the ad. Lastly, I don’t have the option of spray painting so I ordered the more expensive prepainted doors. I was not happy that someone stapled shipping labels through the cardboard and into the door. Be aware that neither Jeld Wen or Home Depot have resolved the inaccurate ad that had been previously brought to their attention.

The door met our expectations. It is perfect for our small house where we didn't have enough space to open a full size door. When the bi-fold door is open it only takes up half the space of a regular door. We hired a handy man to install it so I can't comment on whether it was easy to install though our handyman did it quickly and had no apparent problem in installing it. We're happy with the appearance and performance of the door and would recommend it to anyone where this type of door is useful or appropriate.

Doors were dinged, stained, and damaged. These were replacement doors so have to make do with them. Fortunately, I was able to use wood filler on the dings and damaged areas and then painted over everything.

They are great. Gives my home a modern look.

After a few years, the drilled hole in the wood for the top mounting pin gets bigger and the pin is not secured. The pin tilts and the door itself becomes wobbly. Over and over I buy new pins, use a fill to try and keep the hole true but to no avail. The pine wood is too soft and the pin shell made of plastic leads to constant adjustment and frustration. Jeld-Wen customer service acts like they have never heard of the issue.

A little rough on the edges but goid otherwise. Easy to install and adjust !

Alittle tough to install and wish was pre painted as I needed to apply 2 coats. Otherwise nice door for great price!

I purchased 12 of these doors and when I got to the installation I found 2 of them were drilled incorrectly. I called JELD-WEN and was told to take a photo and send it to their customer service/warranty dept. After two weeks w/o a response (they said a couple of days); I called again and they wanted me to resend the photo; I did and another week has passed. STILL NOTHING! I'm not sure how to proceed from here, but to summarize I'd say JELD-WEN customer service is not very good.

Bought this door as a replacement. It matched our existing doors beautifully. And it's so quiet when it glides open or closed! Highly recommend this product.
