I bid out for a six panel Dutch door for our beach house. The quote was $2500 installed. I was able to purchase thel 36" door and replace all my windows for the same price. I did all the work myself so I saved on the labor. The door is great quality and matches the other six panel doors I installed.

Door was damaged…huge fork lift gouge in center of door

Took 7 months to get door and now weatherstripping is wrong. Very disappointing

The Dutch door is beautiful and was easy to install.

The jamb isn't strong enough for this door. nothing but problems with my contractor installing it. The overall door is ok, just not the jamb. Now because the door is so heavy its starting to lean a bit with this jamb.

This door assembly worked out perfectly. The craftmanship of the door was very good. It installed very easily where I removed the old door and frame assembly.

An alternative if you’re seeking a premade dutch door. Regarding security, the sliding bolt is small. Needs a larger one.

The doors was delivered damaged after waiting 2 months for it .store personnel took excellent care of me in remedying the problems but it was a problem.

Door strikers did not line up, bottom portion of the door sags even after being lagged to the wall. Jamb split when installing striker even with pre drilling for screws.

I really want to love this door but I just can't . I bought another door from Maindoor and it is solid and quality and a great front door. I put this dutch door in the back and it is light weight and cheaply built. Good for an interior door but not great for an exterior door. I like the dutch door feature. There is a lot of the year I can keep the top open and its great for that. Love it when I'm grilling out back. I have installed doors and windows professionally for a living and this door has taken more tweaking than any door I have ever worked on. The main problem with this door is set too close to the hinge side and it causes problems (it pushes the whole door out of whack all along the path of travel) that can just not be fixed or tweaked out. I have spent a lot of time adjusting the screws holding all sides to try to tweak it and get it to work as best as it can, which is still not good. The top latches to the bottom if I have the door closed and push the top in all the way. As soon as you open it it gets out of spec cause it pushes on the hinge side and throws everything out of kilter. The same problem causes the weather stripping to be mostly useless. I have put 4 coats of stain and sealer on and am working on the bottom weather strip piece and the two side stiles come down too far, past the middle bottom stile so now I have to take off the bottom panel of the door and plane it smooth across the bottom to get the weather stripping piece to work. Something I should not have to do on a $900 dollar door.

I Love the Door!!! Solid and Beautiful. I hate Hate hate the specifications for the Rough opening they called out for this door. (Wrong) The R.O. call out for this door is incorrect. It called out a 82-1/2" Tall x 40" wide R.O. and the door was built for a 38-1/2" R.O.???? The door was too small for the rough opening they called out on the specs. I had the Guest House built exterior and interior already finished and just wanted to install door. I had to fur the R.O. in by 2" then hang the Door. I had to call the stucco guys back to do the repair on the outside and have the sheetrock guys come back and do the repair on the inside. Cost me time and money. Horrible mistake and they didn't even cover my expenses let alone the headache for giving us the wrong framing information. They need to update the website with the correct information. Who ever orders this door will run into problems. I did receive a small credit for there mistake but the damage was already done. Door looks great and I will not share the picture because of the headache this caused me.

There are a few seams in the center of the door that could have been sanded better, but overall it is a nice heavy door that works like it is supposed to. I would not call install easy, but I think that's just the nature of installing a Dutch door. And we managed it, despite no prior experience.

Although just recently installed and i haven't witnessed the durability of the product yet- I am very impressed with the overall appearance and quality of this product. It exceeded my expectations, especially for the price.
