The on-off buttons do the dimming and control the power. The four in the middle work with your Insteon hub Or Mac/PC Home Automation software to control other functions, including an Insteon FanLinc device that fits up in the fan housing easily. (Low medium high off) Very robust system.

Very easy to install worked great

A little expensive but was the perfect solution. The switch and modules work great.
