The remote itself works great... the problem is in keeping it in place in the wall plate. It doesn't stay in there, it falls back into the void and looks awful next to the other switches in the wall plate.

Good one! paired perfect with "Insteon In-LineLinc 400-Watt Remote Control In-Line Dimmer Switch (Dual-Band)". The only thing is how to install is on the wall... have to come with other hardware included.

Easy pairing with Insteon modules. Charge (USB Micro-B) lasts a very long time. Good for real time, direct use of lamp/appliance by users who don't have access to Insteon App on your wireless.

Once you replace an existing light switch with an Insteon remotely controlled switch you can use this device to control the new switch. You can leave this remote on a table or install it on a wall as if it were a regular switch, i.e., you can switch lights from a different location without adding new cables. This worked very well for us when we changed the lighting in our kitchen (but get the wall plate accessory to install on a wall!). The remote control contains a battery but it can be charged with a USB cable.

I purchased this remote along with the 2477S Insteon light switch. I replaced my everyday paddle switch with it without a problem. I purchased these switches to create the equivalent of a 3-way switch at the top and bottom of my stairs. It worked perfectly and saved me the hassle of having to run any new wire. The only problem that could come up when installing, is that you need a neutral wire in the box -- I am told that the switch will not work without a neutral. Additionally, when I purchased this switch, the manufacturer stated that it wold work with CFL bulbs, but it did not say anything about LED lights. I have been using it for a few month with LED retrofit fixtures and have not had any issues. I highly recommend.
