Love the new shower door. This was purchased to replace an older builder grade shower door. Easy enough to install. So far easy to maintain. And looks great.

This is a great shower door. Sturdy and is exactly what I was looking for. The instructions were not clear, partly because we put the door in the opposite of the way the directions read. Everyone that comes over to see the shower LOVES the door and cannot believe the price for the door! We are very happy!

The product came with all the necesary items for installation and was easy to install. It makes the color of the tile brighten up and opens up the restroom.

The installed door has the same look as doors costing 3-4x as much. Pretty easy to install and I see no reason why it won't last for many years. Some fastener part numbers don't match the instructions but still easy to figure out. I was especially pleased with the adjustment features which allowed for perfectly square installation & operation.

Door was a bargain at Home Depot.com at $199, and it was a perfect fit for our newly renovated bathroom shower! As a plus, delivery was free to our home, so we didn't have to worry about renting a truck to get it from the store to here! It survived the trip in it's smart packaging, and all parts were present. The worst part of the experience was getting someone to come install it as no one wanted to commit as we weren't buying a door from them. Finally got a handyman to come install it and it took him about 3 hours. He got it pretty much done to perfection, though one of the wall frame sides was cut down about 1/4 inch too much so it doesn't exactly line up, but no one has noticed that except for me! The door is nice and high quality, but I would hardly call it frameless. Well, I guess the door itself doesn't have a frame around the glass, but there is a frame it sits in, and it is chrome, though more of a aluminum look and not the shiny chrome of the fixtures. If we decide to switch to brushed nickel at some point, it will still go with everything. All in all a good choice and a great value at $199 including the free shipping! Buy it if you can get it--it sold out online shortly after we got ours!

I needed an exact size. I contacted Maxx and they assured me it would fit. Door came and was perfect. Very happy.

I was nervous purchasing a $200 dollar shower door after looking at comparably priced doors locally. Once installed I was impressed by the quality and appearance of the door. The minimal framework and lack of a header really helped to showoff my tiled shower. The installation manual was a bit confusing at times, but all in all it wasn't to difficult of an install.

I was working on remodeling one of my basement bathrooms and wanted a glass door but didn't want to spend major coin on a basement bathroom that would rarely see any use. This door is definitely great for the money. One of the downsides to the door is the packaging, barely any foam to protect it from being damaged. Aside from the packaging the door is great, no issues after a couple months of use. I installed it myself in a couple of hours with no issues. I'm 24 and this was my first DIY bathroom remodel so I didnt have any experience installing shower doors. If you are drilling into marble or another natural stone like I was Home Depot has a time drill bit the worked great! The only other issue was that the door doesn't come in Satin finish only chrome. I solved this by sanding off the chrome to achieve a brushed look and then sprayed on some clear coat. If your willing to take the extra time to sand the chrome this is a great solution!

This was the easiest door I have ever installed. And nicest too. The numbers on hardware where off by one number. But if you have a brain you find it out instantly. It took me only one hour to install. Very easy and high dollar look.

The shower door is great looking at a very nice price and it functions well... once I got it installed. The parts were marked incrrectly and I wasted hours trying to figure out how I could install the door by the instructions before realizing they were just worthless. I finally threw away the instructions and began installing based on what made sense which was quicker then just trying figure the instructions. The end product turned out nice!

The door & hardware are very good quality and and excellent value. The only issue I had with this door was that the hardware which comes sealed with a shrink wrap plastic over cardboard and has a number listed for each screw, bolt hardware item did not match the instruction sheet. This was a pain in having to waste a lot of time figuring out the correct item. If not for this issue I would have given a perfect rating as a custom door of this type & quality would cost two to three times as much. I know as I'm a contractor.

I'm (finally) wrapping up a complete master bath remodel and the shower door was the last big piece of the puzzle. I shopped long and hard for the best deal on a door in this category and can't be happier with my purchase. The Great: Price, Appearance The Good: Quality of materials and packaging. Shipping was about 1 1/2 weeks and wasn't packaged all that well, but it was all there and intact. The Bad: Not much. Some of the instructions, especially for screws, are mislabeled by one number (9 is really 10, etc) and could be clearer overall but generally well written. The Unusual: So I couldn't find a decent door that was oil rubbed bronze for less than about a grand. And as adjustable as this door is for various sizes, my door opening happened to fall exactly between the two options for this particular model. So I ordered the slightly larger one (by 3/4 inch) and did a little customizing by trimming off some aluminum on either side of the frame with my table saw (see manufacturers diagram for where if you dare) and sanding it smooth. I then took all the aluminum parts, which are 90% anodized aluminum and 10% chrome plating (the door knob is chrome) and stripping it down to bare metal (Easy Off oven cleaner for the aluminum parts) and refinishing to match the rest of the bathroom. It was some work, but I saved around $500 in the end. Of course, don't try this if you don't know what you are doing....

Like others have said, this item is superb. I'd even go so far as to say that it would still be superb even if it cost $100 or $200 more. What does mar the value somewhat is the fact there's no way to get around the shipping charge, which is pretty expensive (approximately 1/5 the cost of the shower itself), by shipping to store (which other sites offer but don't have a product even half way close to this one) or combining with other items for free shipping as it's always exempt. But enough about that, once it's in your driveway it's plain sailing to install. I did it myself in a couple of evenings spending around 2 to 3 hours per night including set up and tidy up. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, the large parts are beautifully made and the nuts and bolts are located on a common board grouped by type with shrink wrapped cellophane. One thing that may help others is that the small screws that are used for attaching the brackets that support the door are self tapping. Although they don't appear self tapping, the hole they're intended for is too small so force has to be used to get them started, but once started they screw down tight with no fuss. I am very happy with this product and wouldn't think twice about buying another. A ship to store option would be the only thing that would make this item any sweeter.

great door; looks very stylish, easy to use and clean

We have years of DIY experience, so this installation went pretty well. If you have none, it might be a challenge. The holes for the screws that hold the adjustable frame piece are very tight, so you might have to ream those slightly. We didn't, but it was a bit hard getting those screws tightened flat to hold. A lot of the hardware is misnumbered, but the instructions and parts diagram are OK. The finished result is a nice looking door for less than $300.

This door is a great value. Did research and read that it was difficult to set up and confusing instructions but found that is was actually quite simple to assemble. Easy install for any DIY person and looks amazing!

Best door available at this price point. Installs easy as long as you study directions and think about what you are doing. I would say it's a difficulty 5 out of 10. Door looks good and improves look of shower. Wall anchors not necessary unless you are installing over tile. Delivery said was suppose to go to Home Depot and then I was to get a call about when they can deliver it. I received no call and Dhl showed up at my doorstep with the door and luckily I was home to accept it. Just track the package

The first thing I noticed was the weight of the glass. This is a solid piece. The hardware is sturdy. Unlike the other reviews the seals on my door were perfect. I might have received an updated model. The instructions are not good. Parts mislabeled, steps missed and not well described. The door went up fairly quickly with common tools. Looks great and I would definately purchase again. It's not a particularly tall door so be sure to read the specs to make sure it's the height you want. The magnetic seal upon closure is tight and strong. Adjusting is a breeze. DrillIng through porcelain tile to mount is an utter nightmare. Ended up buying an $18 diamond tip 1/4 inch hole bit. It worked but was exspensive. My shipping container was adequate unlike several other reviews. One price had a very slight bend that was easily straightened. I love the door.

Took my contractor 2 days to figure out how to install but the end result looked great with my marble shower stall

The installed product looks good, my reservation lies in the components. The hinges are very low-quality typical Chinese products, as are all the other accessory components. And it is quarter inch glass, which on a 36 inch door may be a little too light, though I did know that when I purchased it. We are building contractors and I never use these type of products in the homes I build, we were doing a favor for someone ( quick rehab ), The doors we use in our new construction units are three times the price on average and there was a very good reason for it. To sum it up if it is used as a daily shower I don't see it standing up for more than a year, without parts issues and or inadequate operation.

This door looks great installed on my tile shower. It has a clean, sleek design and installation was easy. The installation directions were easy to follow and I liked the way the hardware was packaged for ease of identification. Only problem with the directions was that the numbering corresponding with the packaged hardware was off by one number (12 was 13, 13 was 14, etc). I would have given this five stars if the bottom track was secured to the shower base with more than silicone. Time will tell if the silicone will hold or if I will need to find a different way to attach it. Installation only took about 2 hours.

Easy to install, heavy duty hardware, an extra unexplained metal jamb. Leakfree so far.
