Brinks timer more than meets expectations, very versatile setting increments, used for several weeks daily with great satisfaction, do not have to worry about small appliances being left on.

Doesn't work right out of the package.

Love this, so easy to use. Unfortunately I bought another before I realized they have a LIFETIME guarantee.

The first one I had broke after two uses. Hopefully just wanted to let will last at least five uses.

Only worked for a few days and started malfunctioning.

It is very useful and I have used several of them. The only trouble is they last between one to two years.

Timer worked for 2 days the stopped. I was able to return it. This is probably the 5th or 6th of the same timer I have bought but they just don’t last long. I love the timer while I works, and I love it so much for my flat iron that I will continue to buy even though they only work for a year or less. I bought two, so with the second one I plugged it into a surge protector and so far it has been working for 2 weeks with no problems.

I purchased two of these and only used each maybe 3-4 times and they both stopped working. One is totally dead and other times out but doesn’t stop power output - worthless. I love when i buy crap...

Not working right out of the package. I wanted it to shut off my chair massager after 15 minutes in case I fall asleep. The lights turned off but the seat cushion won't.

Good and simple

So far, it works. Haven't used long enough to judge reliability. The only real negative is that the open outlet is on the narrow side of the unit, which prevents even small power bricks from connecting when the unit is plugged into a wall or power strip.

Although it did not work for our application it was a decent timer. We wanted to use it with a hot plate so it would not accidentally stay on too long and burn the house down. The way the current (amps) are rated was not clear to a non-engineer. It is not for high current devices.

Did the job it needed to do.

I bought several of these units for my project. I used them to auto-turnoff AC to DC Adapters in the 2 Amp, 24 Watt range. These were LED Power Supplies. The electronic (non-transformer) Adapters would arc and cause sticking contacts in the output relay. This would create a constant ON condition. I managed to un-stick the contacts by tapping on the unit and salvaging the device.When substituting a Transformer type AC/DC Adapter, no problems were encountered and the Timer Unit performed normally.My only suggestion would be to add arc suppression circuit at the output to minimize this possibility.I realize this adds cost to the unit but would extend the list of possible devices that could be controlled and would also reduce the number of returns caused by this type of failure.

Nice little countdown timer. Only timer I could find with a 5 minute option.

My unit was lightly used for about two years and just died, much like the similar Brinks motion sensor I bought at about the same time. When it worked, it worked fine. But it's either poor quality or designed for obsolescence, with a built-in self-timer that disables it after some period of time. Do not buy.

I had a timer like this previously. I liked to use it with my heating pad so it would shut off after an hour. I used it for many years before it died and I purchased this as a replacement. May it be as reliable :)

had one for several years and still works nicely. just bought another for different appliance and out-of-the-box didn't work. l.e.d. light worked though. tried several different devices, none worked. hit or miss quality. will ask hd if they ship to my house no charge for the inconvenience.

Perfect for turning off my curling iron in case I forget.

Good while it lasts. Only lasted 3 months and just quit working. Several other people said the same thing but I thought I'd give it a try... I used it a couple times a week and never even moved it from the outlet, but it just quit one day. Don't waste your money.

Works great, easy to use!

I was very excited because this timer solved a pressing need (the ability to run my mechanical white noise machine and shut it off automatically after an hour). Sadly after less than two months of use it just quit. Nothing had changed, it hadn't been damaged or even moved since the first day I plugged it in. Great price, great concept, poor execution. Luckily, as is their practice, my local Home Depot took it back without any hassle at all.

The timer does just what I want - if I forget to turn off an appliance after using it, like my coffee maker or flat iron, the timer does it automatically after a specified time of 5, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. There are only two cautions: I initially bought two timers but the first one I tried was defective. Home Depot refunded my money and I now have 3 identical timers which have all worked well. (I bought two additional ones.) The other issue is that the timer plug receptacle has only two prongs so if your appliance plug has 3 prongs you have to use an adapter. I use an adapter for plugging my coffee maker into the timer and it works well.

Unfortunately this exact item I received does not work. I have had one in the past that worked beautifully.
