It was surprised how easy it was to install; however, my frustrations were wanting to know more than "attach 'A' to 'A', etc." and know the purpose of 'A' tube so I could logically know what I was doing. Once installed, the unit works good--but the heating unit is very noisy. It is attached to a panel that may act as a sounding board but we did not have the same problem with the previous unit.

While I have no complaint about the product, the alternative filter, F601-R, filters more substances. This one is designed to clear a Chlorine smell/flavor from the water. The other, while more expensive and longer, also clears sediment, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, lead, mercury, asbestos, benzene, altrazine and 2,4-D. So if you have the space and money, if you're going to filter, you may as well go out. So go for the other one.
