I’ve had the Brita filter for about 3 weeks now. I have well water so it gives off a sulfur smell. First week, the smell was gone, after that it came back just as strong. The quality of water itself is the same as without the filter on.

This is a very basic shower filter. They don't overstate the product, they describe it as level 1 filtration, at the rate the water comes out of the shower it's obvious any filter wouldn't be filtering all too well though. I liked how I saw the KDF on one side of the filter when removing the sticker, this seems to be a quality filter. The product is certified by whatever NSF and ANSI standards so I feel better using it. I bought a bunch of these for my whole family because I approve of the product, and it's a great value buy. Oh yea the filters are small, but I actually prefer this myself. A larger filter with looong time use claims, could actually backfire on you if it grows germs inside it, so a compact filter with higher maintenance is preferable personally. The filters are 10 dollars to replace I believe, which is reasonable.

I was looking for a replacement for the shower heads in the home we rent. I didn't want to get one with a lot of bells and whistles, just one to filter the water. This one does the trick. I like that it resists clogging from minerals in the water. If I was looking for one for a house I owned, I would have got one that would adjust the strength of the water stream, which this one doesn't do.

I bought this for one of my showers and just bought another for hall bath because it is making my skin & hair feel so much better! We have horrible calcium and lime residue in our water line! Also this shower head is so easy to install!!!

Maybe this is a good showerhead for, specifically & only, water filtration. Hard to know exactly, but as a Brita there's a good chance the filtration aspect is okay. But once it was installed it immediately cut water pressure by 1/2. Water now comes out in a circular shape (very little way to twist & get different sprays) that has so little pressure it's useless. Of course, it's been installed & we've thrown out packaging so no chance to return. Regardless, we'll be getting something else.

I am not sure how I feel about this. I tested the water with a TDS meter and it went from 1000 ppm down to 800 ppm. (yeah both are really high) Not a significant difference for me. However, it does not smell like chlorine as it did before which I believe is its primary job. Skin doesn't feel as dry and irritated after a shower so that is a plus. Not sure how it holds up to other inline filters but I would recommend having one of them in your shower.

Threaded parts are made of plastic (not metal) and could crack when tightened. Product is made too cheaply so I returned it back to Home Depot.

The shower filter successfully filters water however the filter only last a month. With how hard my water is, I can get over that. The real issue is that you cannot find the filters replacements at all with Home Depot or Britas website. If you purchase the shower head filter be prepared to buy another shower head filter once it’s time replace the filter that only lasted a month. If brita actually stocked the filter replacements I’d spend the 10 bucks a month but the difficulty finding filters makes this product useless. I bought a hydroviv and it’s working now but kind of pricy and I’ve only had it for 2 weeks so not sure of the longevity just yet. I’ll try to update my experience in hopes to help other consumers with poor water quality. I experienced red itchy hives from my water. It only occurred when I got hot or nervous. Brita temporarily fixed that.

For some reason the manufaturer decided to put an unremovable sticker over the filter holes. I had to scrape and scrape with a knife, and it will only come off little bits at a time. Just a stupid idea!

It's doing what it supposed to do just wish the flow wasn't so restricted. But it works good.

Excellent low-cost water filter. Shower head doesn't feel cheap. Easy to install. Only has one spray setting. I recommend this shower head.

Easy to install. The design is excellent. I noticed the filtered water is better for my dry skin and colored hair. My skin no longer smells like chlorine. I rent an apartment and my landlord couldn't afford an in-house water filtration system, so this filter was a low-cost solution for my shower. For best results, change the $10.00 filter every 3 months not the recommended 6 months. The shower head is good quality and doesn't feel cheap. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Assembly was simple and straightforward. Works as intended.

Stickers on both sides of the water filters inlet and outlet that don’t peel off in one piece, spent 30 mins peeling little pieces off, finally got it clean, mounted the shower head only for the threads to crack with little pressure applied and leaks instantly, garbage!

Small, easy, & effective.
