This is a solid, well-built model; suitable for repairing Andersen storm doors. 1. You will need to drill one new hole on your storm door panel before attaching this part - or it won’t fully close 2. You will need two small washers for one of the storm door screws - due to a small gap. Finally, an Andersen storm door will no longer open up to a full 90+ degrees.

The exact replacement part needed for my storm door. I like the quick hold release feature. It fit the current bracket on my door, drilled holes matched and was easy to install.

It does the job and at least now my security storm door is not trying to knock me down before I can get inside the house.

Just installed door closer. I can feel the different in this opener. It was windy today and I noticed that the wind didn't pull the door out of my hand like the old opener.

Nice solid closer. I chose to put a 2nd closer on my heavy storm door, instead of a spring chain. With 2 torsion heavy duty closers, it takes a strong push to open. I feel confident this will keep the door from being grabbed by the wind. It looks a lot better than an ugly spring chain. I had a Forever door for years, which had 2 heavy duty closers, and no spring chain. And it never got blown out of my hands during windy conditions. A major door manufacturer says their storm door guarantee is void if you use a spring chain. HD gave me fast, free shipping.

The weight of the door over powers the closer, so it still slam’s shut. Especially when it’s cold outside.

This was an excellent one-for-one replacement for a 30-year old door closer whose pneumatic function stopped working. I did reuse the old bolts on the wrought iron storm door as the new bolts were slightly thicker and didn’t want to fiddle with it. Works like a champ!

they replaced my old closer, i bought other brands before but they had an automatic stay open mechanism, they never operated properly, this closer is manual and works great, just like the original closer that came with the door 15 years ago

This was an excellent replacement for the old closer on my back screen door. Very easy to install and adjust. The door now closes as it it should. Had to wait one week for delivery to Ellsworth, Maine, but this was not an emergency. I highly recommend this product. RLM 9/1/2020
