We remodeled our master bathroom 3 years ago and selected the complete icon line. While the look and function of this toilet paper holder is very nice, the way it installs into drywall is terrible.
After about 6 months I noticed that one side was getting loose. After a year I took off the chrome piece and tightened the base to the wall. It loosened again after a few months.
Last week it became much looser. I went to tighten it this evening and it wouldn't stay tight. I took the base off the wall to find the drywall was a mess because of all the movement and the metal pieces that were designed to dig into the drywall and keep it from rotating.
At this point I have a shredded chunk of drywall that needs to be repaired. And I have to remove the left side because I can't reinstall the right side where I'm going to do the repair. I am going to have to replace this fixture.
Beware future buyers!!! I hate to say that my towel holder is doing the same thing...

Just love it
I bought this product as it is installed in another house I own. I just love the ease of the pivot. Contractor installed, thus can not comment.

Nice, but not worth the $$
There were absolutely no mounting instructions, templates or guides in either box ... the installer had to reinstall twice.
Also, we received an item that was obviously returned to HD. For what we paid for this item, it should have been new and with a template which was suppose to be included.
We had no time to return and reorder.
Very unhappy with HD ...

Products is great
Product is great. There is no template included to EXACTLY know where to cut holes for installation. I think I got lucky and drilled holes in my vanity perfectly where I needed too. If I had a template to use it would have eliminated the uncertainly.

Like this gadget
I just remodeled my bathrooms and was trying to coordinate my decor. I was looking around at different types of toilet paper dispensers and found this pivot type, where you just flip up one side and un/load the toilet paper. I thought it would be much easier and user-friendly than the spring bar. Best decision! I love this little gadget. I used hate to change out the paper roll, now it is no bid deal. It is a little tricky to initially install.

easy to use
Who would have thought you could improve on a toilet paper holder? Well, this is an improvement! So nice not to have to squeeze a spring, which sometimes slips, sending the roll across the floor. This is simple: just lift the bar up, slip on the new roll. My four year old can easily change the roll herself. Just be sure that you mount it correctly...there is only one correct way which is so the bar lifts UP; if you mount it the other way, the arm would just fall down. Caveat: there are virtually no instructions for mounting, and this product line uses a different system. It assumes you have some sort of template, which we found you could buy separately, but my husband figured it out without the template.

Handsome, easy to install
It took only a few minutes to put up this nicely designed paper holder, and it appears to be sturdy and securely anchored to the wall.

Exceptional product.
Well made, solid and very attractive. It extends out from the wall nicely. The pivoting feature is especially user friendly.

pivoting paper holder
beautiful hardware. beware of the installation instructiions: template calls for 6 1/4 centers. the real center is 8 inches. tsk.
