These do not have a deep socket. They have a standard shallow socket and a long body.

These sockets are shallow like a standard socket with a long solid body. Deep socket means deep socket. Not shallow socket long body.

These are nice sockets at a good price and everyone needs deep sockets from time to time. Something I look for is weight/balance meaning these are not some of the cheaper made ones on the market. They are made in China, but I found no quality issues. These pass my test. They also have a nice finish on them. The print on them is large so most people should easily be able to find the right socket. They also fit snug yet not too tight or loose. In addition, I had no problems when using significant torque. I recommend.

I bought this socket to let me reach some hex-head screws that are buried in deep wells on the back of an IBM Model M keyboard. The socket fit the screw heads, and the wells perfectly. This 1/4" drive, 7/32" socket did its job well, and was much less expensive than the other options that I had, for example, purchasing a nut driver, etc. I was able to remove the screws with the socket alone, without a ratchet wrench, because they are steel screws screwed into plastic, hence they are torqued in gently. Should you be wondering: Yes, those of us who type on the old Model M keyboards love them so much that we consider it worth it to repair and maintain them. Over the past few years I have found Husky tools to be accurate and durable. In fact, my torque wrench is made by Husky too and has torqued down cylinder head bolts on three Volvo engines perfectly accurately over the years (along with many, many other things). The engines are still running very well, long after being torn down and rebuilt.

THESE ARE QUALITY SOCKETS! I have purchase these deep well sockets and have a complete set (except for the 5.5, 6, 7 and 9 mm - Seem hard to find). Very happy with this purchase. Thanks Home Depot!

I purchased it mainly to use on hose clamps although it also works on bolts we have that attach drawer handles to drawers in our kitchen. I like the fact that it is very long which allows me to use it without the 1/4 ratchet in many instances.
