Excellent product and easy to install. Only took 30 minutes to put up!!!!

Arrived defective After a 2 hour installation with the fan in the ceiling (not 5 minutes as advertised), it became apparent the product arrived with a defective light kit assembly and wiring harness. Now the fan is installed with wires hanging out while we wait a week for new parts. I'm disappointed in this quality from Hunter, especially with a new fan.

I bought this fan because it fit all my requirements 1. It is a Hunter. 2. It has the WHITE Globe 3. It can go on an angled ceiling. I did need to buy a longer rod. 4. It is just your basic fan, not gaudy. As with other reviewers, I think the 5 minute description is a little deceiving for your average DIYer. It took me maybe 5 minutes to just put the blades on the rubber pegs. The whole install took me about 3 hours. However, I must be honest, other factors played a part like needing to go buy and install a universal ceiling bracket. Then, I had to return and replace the defective universal remote control. Luckily I did not have to balance the fan. So, maybe a "pro" can get this installed in 5 minutes, but I would concluded your average install is going to be at least 30 minutes. OTHER THAN THAT, The fan is beautiful, quiet, and keeps my room cool. The two lights aren't the brightest, but I don't need them to be.

Installed this fan in our bedroom without an issue. Installation was straight forward. Turned it on and discovered the motor humming was too loud. I went back and read more reviews for this item and found one new owner had the same issues as their fan had been connected to a dimmer switch. They replace the dimmer switch and no noise. Ours was connected to a dimmer switch as well. Replaced that with a regular switch and the hum was gone. All is good. Thank you for that information in your review!

Love the fan, but received with broken light fixture globe. Hunter took no responsibility. Home Depot would only offer to return the whole CF package (a delay I could not accept). So I bought new globe at my cost.

What good is the rod with out the fan never order on line if you can find it inany store

Love the fan and light but it makes a continuous humming sound whether on hi or low. I need complete silent for sleeping so unfortunately we have to leave it turned off.

Fan arrived as scheduled. However, the 12 inch extender rod NEVER arrived. We had to drive to several different Home Depot stores to find the extender. Home Depot insists it was shipped.

Easy to install, quiet, really pushes the air, looks very nice! Great deal for the money. Note: Bought to replace dining room chandelier which had a dimmer switch on the wall. When installed it made a slight humming noise from the motor. Was advised by electrician continuing with this hook-up would burn out motor quicker. Replaced to a regular switch (although I did like the dimmer), and it's completely quiet. Love it!
