Clean and quiet. Vibration isolation is good; no noise on the floor above. The shorter downrod (included) is perfect for the 8' basement ceiling, giving great circulation but not feeling like it's going to clip the top of my head (I'm 6'2"). I've installed Hunter Fans throughout our current home, as I had throughout our previous home...which also had outside/porch installs. They ranged from the pricey "Originals" to a few of the "Contractor" fans; all, quiet, efficient, good-looking fans of quality. Yeah, I like `em.

This is an excellent product. Quiet and simple to install. Hunter is probably the best ceiling fan made.

Ceiling fan is very good quality- the best we were able to locate. However, the white color varies amongst the parts, which is very noticeable in bright light.
