The fan is beautiful to behold and very well constructed, but...because the glass is so thick and so frosted, there is not much light that comes from it. We put it over the kitchen table and it's like dining by candlelight.

For 7 years, I begged for ceiling fans to be put in our bedrooms (second story gets so hot!). Finally, we purchased one and all I heard was this is going to take forever. The process was simple! The directions were "man proof" and all the grumbling about how hard they are to balance was over in minutes. The fan balanced on the first try without any effort. This is the quietest fan and works wonderfully!!
