Just beautiful! The shades are so easy to install and give a lovely,filtered light. We are so pleased we bought these shades for every window in our home. After searching the web for bamboo shades and finding insane prices,The Home Depot came through for us yet again. We call it ,"our store",because one can find ANYTHING one needs for building,repair or just decor.Thank you for always having a solution to our every need with your amazing staff and insanely vast inventory.

If you want to continue seeing the view you have without the heat of the sun, these shades are perfect. They aren't blackouts.

This was exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price! I wanted a beachy feel in my living room, so I added this to the outer frame of the window (i still have blinds on the inside of the frame of the window) and I have white curtains on each side of the shade. I couldn't use this as my only shade on the window because it would not provide enough coverage or privacy, but the way I have it installed it's perfect! When the sun is shining directly into the living room at it's brightest, I can open the blinds behind this shade and it provides the perfect amount of lighting inside. If it's not as bright out or the sun isn't directly on my house, I pull this shade up and open the blinds and enjoy all the natural light that comes in. The reason for 4 stars is the string keeps coming out of the "socket" it's in so i have to press the socket together while lifting up or rolling down. I guess I could always crazy glue the socket closed though, but that's why I took away a star. I still love it and would recommend it.

Love these shades! They are not 100% privacy shades, so you can still see through them a bit, but they block out a lot of light, which is what I wanted. See my photos for example.

I purchased these originally for a bathroom window for a client. Loved the way it looked and the install was really easy. I later purchased these for my townhouse and I am not a fan of the lack of privacy that they provide. It isn't a problem for my client as their window was obscured by bushes and trees but my windows are visible to all of my neighbors and at night these shades offer no privacy. When I have a light on (a small lamp) in the house and it is dark outside you can see straight through them and not just shadows but colors and details as well. I love the way they look on my windows and realized this after I had installed them on every window in my home. I will use curtains or something else for more privacy after dark but if you intend on this being your only window covering: BEWARE!! I have added a picture taken from inside my home during the day that shows how well you can see through to the outside. The opposite is true at night. (Meaning you can see that well to the inside from outside.)

I watched a video about customizing the length and did it! I'm so pleased with the custom look!

Very nice shade for the amount of purchase. It was a little tricky to install because the one of the screw heads sheared off from my drill but other than that it went smoothly. The shade makes a great addition to my newly redone kitchen.

I tried out the Natural color bamboo shades. I liked the color as it is a natural unfinished, light wood. In fact, it even smelled nice out of the box. The size I received was 23 In. x 72 In. If you are doing an inside mount, be sure you get the right size (not close, but exact). Otherwise, go with a larger size and do an outside mount (or order custom). You don't want gaps on an inside mount. Because my shade was very long and narrow (23x72) when the shade was fully extended, it seemed to curve or be wavy at the very bottom. It did not sit straight. I tried to pull it down to get it to straighten out. Hopefully it will settle in over the next few days and hang out straight. I think that the Bottom Rail is just not heavy enough for a shade of this length. If you had different proportions (say 48x72) it would probably be OK. The directions were basic. All hardware mounting parts were included. Be sure to predrill pilot holes as the screws are terrible. It will take a little longer than it seems due to the unusual wingnut bracket install. I needed a power driver with extension bit. There was an ugly plastic warning label on the back of the shade. I had to use scissors to cut it off. The 6 inch valance and the wooden tassels are a nice touch. Also, on the back of the shade, the cords are encased in a cloth sleeve. The shades raised and lowered nicely, and folded at the top. Very smooth mechanisms. If you're on a budget, a shade like this, in a different size, might work. It has some potential.

Very nice blinds. I needed blinds for a 106" picture window. Custom blinds were up to $700 for this size window. These bamboo blinds were just as nice and so much cheaper. You can see out but no one can see in. They're light weight and easy to raise up and down. I definitely recommend these for a cool, coastal look.

Easy installation. Great view from inside while providing good privacy and warm color.

The bamboo roman shade was one of a total of five that we purchased (varying sizes). The shade was a perfect fit for our family room and kitchen decor. During the day, the shade allows light into the room while, at the same time, minimizing the heat that the sun generates (we are in South Florida). The one slight downfall to the product, however, is the L bracket. On an inside (window frame) mount, if the L bracket is flush against the L part of the frame, you will not see the bracket from the exterior side of the window looking in. But if you need to mount the bracket away from the L part of the frame, i.e. the center of the window frame, you will see the bracket from the exterior side of the window. Otherwise, the mechanism is smooth to operate and, given the available window treatment on the market, to avoid the vertical or venetian type blind, it is a quality product that is a good value for the money.

I’ll first comment about the shade straight out of the box. No faults whatsoever. A lovely design and extremely well thought out and put together for a stress free assembly. Speaking of the assembly, the installation of the blind took all of two minutes and it was even easier to fit it to the window. Recommended.

Easy to install. Very rich looking. I love them.

Simple to attach and looks nice. Just need a drill or screwdriver. Also, best price available. I have very similar in my kitchen and purchased else where for allot more.

I The color and width were perfect for my sun-room, and they were pretty easy to install. I needed 4, 46" lengths but they were out of stock so I had to get 72" long ones. It's a good thing that I have wide window seals for all of the access to rest on. I also need one for a small window in the door, but they were also out of stock. I have searched on line everywhere I can think of with no luck. I'd like to know if these were adiscontinued collection or what. ???

I needed parts that were not included. Talked to a rep and he would check it out and call me back. Quick response and very pleased

Didn’t expect window side of shade to show material covering cords. Also the ballast is poorly put together. But for $12 each I can’t complain.

The best thing about these blinds was the price. They look nice and were easy to install, but they provide NO privacy after dark. I kept them because the room I used them in is rarely used, but I think if you are sensitive about privacy these would not be a good choice.

The shade was easy to install and looks nice. I would recommend it.

Excellen product, but I would like more lenght options were available. I had to buy the 72 in.
