This fan was perfect for our family room. We have 9 foot ceilings and wanted a way to help circulate air from the fireplace in the winter and cool in the summer. Since the room is 25x12 we wanted both a reversible motor and a bigger fan blade without interfering with the recessed lighting. The steeper blade angle really does move more air even on the lowest speed. Super quiet. No motor noise, only the air moving. No drop rod needed. Perfect height and didn't have to give up any ceiling space.

The fan is part of the renovation of our family room and is a really nice addition.

Love the fan, love the reverse fan capability. This is a great product. I recommend Casablanca fans over other products
