These hanger bolts worked as intended. The lag bolt thread allowed use in a 2x6 while the 1/4x20 thread allowed a locking pivot point on a now covered raised garden bed.

There's no good way to screw in the wood-thread end of the screw. If you use a pair of pliers the machine thread gets damaged. There should be a hex head either male or female on the machine end of this screw.

Stainless steel fastener was ordered for an outdoor project. Quality is good and price reasonable. Although it didn't matter with this project, I noticed that 1/4-20 portion of fastener is not fully threaded down to lag screw as shown.
