I was successful with my project using this to cut 5/32" stranded galvanized steel cable. Longer handles would have helped, as I had to put my weight into it on the ground. However, it's a very clean cut and a quality tool. Good for those on a personal, not professional budget.

Once i received this, i thought i may jave to return it because it looked too small and didnt look like it could handle cutting cow panel (made of gauge 10 wire). It worked with a little effort, although we jad to use two hands (you need two hands for this size wire no matter what wire cutter you use) and i am really satisfied.Glad i didnt have to spend hundreds of dollars to cut the cow panels. I believe it will last a while if not many many years.

Over rated. Not good for over 1/8 cable

These cutters cut through 3/16” stainless steel rope with little effort. Reasonable price for a good quality tool.

Bought it for my wife to use it for her wreath business. No matter what size gauage, this monster will cut through some thick floral stem wire with ease! Definitely worth it.

Cutting wire seals this item meets and exceeds expectation. the only suggestion is if they made it a little bigger.

The tool cut 1/8 inch stainless steel wire rope easily and with precision.

Seems to work fine, just as advertised.

Perfect for cutting artificial flower stems which have very tough wires to cut. Tried about 10 different wire cutters and this is the first one that easily does the job.

Cuts small cable very well not that good at clamping stops and closers. Cut extremely good.

I purchased these wire cutters to cut artificialy florist branches that have wire inside them. Work like a charm. Have never found anything else that works so easy.

I am glad to see that Home Depot carries these. I have had the small and the larger pair for a long time and they have never let me down. There is nothing like having the right tool for the job, and not have to replace them. Have had them for around 20 years.

For many years when I would replace cables on my garage door openers, I had no tools that would cut off excess cable satisfactorily. But not any more. This Knipex 7-1/2-inch wire rope cutting tool makes good clean cuts every time. It requires strong hands to make the cut, but the design of the cutting surfaces eliminates fraying of cable strands. The tool is a little expensive but is worth the cost to me.
